Sweet Rice Cafe' — Restaurant in Sukhothai Province

Hands down, the best food we’ve eaten in Sukhothai!

The employees are very friendly and attentive. The place is clean and they have a separate airconditioned seating. Very serene setting, with little ponds in and out-side.

The food was really fresh and good. We had 3 dishes specifically from Sukhothai (pork steamed rice parcels, Sukhothai noodle soup and shrimp/pork wonton Tom Yam) and 1 rice dish with holy basil and chicken.

We washed this away with delicious Ginger-Lemongrass soda and Blueberry Smoothie.

The day after, we went for their freshly homemade ice cream and (on the spot made) banana chocolate cake. Again, a big hit and these very nice ladies know what they’re doing!!

This experience has put a smile...

A hidden gem but still easy to find if you just follow the signs from the main road. Was greeted by grandma herself and what a wonderful woman and a wonderful restaurant. I got the traditional Sukhothai noodles and it was just perfect. Service and food in absolute top class with VERY reasonable prices. And beautiful decorated restaurant. Very service-minded, local food, variety of menus and reasonable price. This place has been in business for long time so that speaks for how good it is. Not the best place for photo opps.
