I recently had the pleasure of dining at ครัวบ้านช่าง by Prot, a delightful restaurant located in Suratthani. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the intimate and cozy atmosphere of the place. It is worth mentioning that due to the limited number of tables available, making a reservation in advance is highly recommended.

Upon entering, I was greeted by Mr. Prot, the talented chef who runs the establishment. His warm and attentive demeanor instantly made me feel welcome. What truly impressed me was the fact that, upon making my reservation a month prior, Mr. Prot had taken the time to send me a personalized special menu for the day. It was a small gesture, but it demonstrated his attention to detail and commitment to providing a memorable dining experience.

The food at ครัวบ้านช่าง by Prot exceeded all expectations. The prices were incredibly reasonable, especially considering the quality and flavors that each dish offered. One particular standout was the Thai Fish Sashimi. I can confidently say that it was the best I have ever tasted. The freshness and delicate balance of flavors were simply outstanding. Additionally, I had the opportunity to sample various steaks from the menu, and each one left me thoroughly satisfied.

Insanely to-die-for Thai fish steak at a very reasonable price!! We had Sharptooth Snapper (different fish on rotation). The delicate herbal scent on top of fresh fish was one of the very best I've had.

Fantastic spaghetti carbonara (no cream, just the good old eggs) chef's kiss. The beef steak was also good but not extraordinary compared to the other dishes we ordered.

They also have a selection of craft beers in this vintage-style cozy spot. Super friendly staff. Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough. You need to come try it yourself!

I always intend to take a pic of the food, but then, I’m so excited to eat it - that I eat it. Immediately. And then I’m so involved in loving every mouthful, that I forget to review it. So here’s the review, cos I’m off to Bangkok for a bit. You’ll do well to find a better Picanha (all I ever had here) anywhere.
