This place has won the first place as the worst restaurant in Phangan on my list. We came in as they said that they have fish. We sat down and ordered fish, salad and carrots juice. The carrots juice was diluted with water and had absolutely no flavor. We literally asked for sugar water to sweeten it and they gave us sugar bags. Unfortunately it didnât help to make that drink drinkable. After 15 minutes arrived a so called salad that contained few leaves of lettuce, few strings of carrots and slices of tomato that looked long gone to be eaten. After another 30 minutes passed and we were starving and asked about our fish. We were told, one minute. The brought my motherâs fish that looked alright and my fish looked like charcoal. I pointed this to the waiter and even before I finished the sentence she said âok to much fry, we make newâ. I asked how long will I need to wait and she said it will take 30 minutes because the fish needs to defrost. I canceled my fish and my mother invited me to eat her fish with her. I took a bite from my momâs fish and I thought Iâm going to throw up! It was soooo old it had moldy taste! I warned my mom not to eat from it. We asked for the tab. Paid 130 baht and left the place hungry as hell to go somewhere else. When my mom went to wash her hands the sink was dis functional as...
Read moreThe devil works hard, but auntie works harder !! When we came here she was working by herself and reading the reviews this seems like the standard, the food was honestly great and not costly at all we had the garlic and pepper fried pork, penanag curry and pineapple fried rice all of which were delicious and presented really well, auntie made a really effort to talk to all tables and clearly spoke many a language and it was a really authentic meal. If only she had an extra pair of hands service would feel a lot smoother, but still would recommend to anyone staying in the area for a real...
Read moreAuntie is a very special lady. She does everything by herself, cooking, cleaning, taking orders, even socialising with the guests. She has no staff whatsoever. She does this 7 days a week from 11am till 9:30pm. She genuinely cares about her guests and her food. Ive never seen someone with this kind of work ethic and ability. And shes not young either, I would guess over 70. Her food is good quality, however its âfarangâ thai food, not really what most thai people would eat (seems like to me, i could be wrong). She also has 3 mini pinzer dogs, who are sooooo adorable! We petted them for...
