Bamboo Bistro khaosok — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

We ate here twice. Both times for the Pizza.

Skip the menu and choose your toppings to create your own pizza and have Nut (the young master) work his magic.

The pizza was beyond our expectations. It was surprising to find that good a pizza place. I would say the taste is a lot closer to American style than the authentic Italian. But nonetheless, whichever the version, it was super worth it!

Also, Nut was unbelievably hospitable. He kept the restaurant open well beyond the closing time since we were returning late from the night safari. He also gave us a ride to our resort so we don’t have walk in the dark.

Good location, downstairs they have free pool tables, table tennis, darts, golf put, punching bag. For kids it was great the food was ok too.

However to get food to your table is a real hassle we understand that English taught everywhere but even with Google translate to thai and 2 different Waiters we still got extra rice and noodles we didnt ask for. We asked if the dishes came with noodles and rice? Afterwards we didnt want to get into translate again and paid for the two dishes we didnt order. With a little bit of effort this place...

I’m not one to write a bad review but I was pretty upset with my experience here. The waitress got 3/3 of my orders wrong. Gave me a very sugary dragonfruit smoothie when I asked no sugar (got it remade), forgot my pad Thai order (which I just cancelled at the end), and didn’t put tofu in my cashew nuts with vegetable. The cashew nut was insanely sweet too. I was not happy with my experience here, maybe it was the language barrier with the waitress, but she also didn’t seem that patient when trying to understand what...
