Brick Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Let me give u a quick summary why I decided to rate your restaurant with only 1/5 stars. Let me beginn with the service. Once we sat down at the restaurant it took the waiter at least 10min to realize that we are present. He didn‘t realize until the moment we got up and graped the menu ourselves. Let me add, that there was only one other group of people at the restaurant that same moment, which indicates that they do not really care about their customers. Once we ordered food the horror started to begin. Even tough there were only 5 other peple sitting down, it took ~80-90min until we got our food (only 3 dishes!). My friend ordered a garlic baguette which was even pictured in the menu. What he received after all the waiting were 3 dry and overcooked toasts with garlic pieces thrown onto it. The moment my friend wanted to talk to the obviously stressed and angry manager at the counter, he came running to our table, throwing plates (food wasn‘t even finished), onto each other and told us to „fuck off“. We were in shock and left the restaurant immediately knowing he would have punched at least one of us 3, if his wife woudln’t have hold him back. I tought I was in a movie.. never experienced this in my life. This guy has some serious anger issues and has to go through therapy. Very unprofessional behaviour not knowing how to handle simple and constructive criticism.

So we decided to stay there for a night after a recommendation from a friend because we wanted to visit the national park and booked our lake overnight stay online through the booking communication with the bnb people. Once we arrived the lady at the bnb said that the overnight lake stay we reserved is fully booked (although we made a reservation days in advance with her), no apologies or anything then she proceeded to call different people to find a company to accommodate us so we can still stay on the lake the following night. On the lake there were multiple people who paid different prices for the same experience so its better to book on the company online and not through the bnb or hotel since they apparently charge more. We could keep our bags there while on the lake and picked them up the following day after we came back. The communication is in very basic English and very difficult. There are many monkeys around and on the balconies so dont leave any stuff laying around outside. Breakfast was okay. If you’re staying there make sure to book your khao sok stay in...

The room is good, large and have balcony. The beds are very comfortable. We did had an issue that they turned off the water because of some problem and I was in the middle of the shower, which was nicer if the would have noticed us few minutes before, but I can get it..

the real problem in this place was the service that we got.. the day after we entered we didn’t locked the balcony (didn’t think it’s necessary and no one told us to) and went out for our day. When we came back moneys got inside our room and did a mess with the food. We took it as a funny thing and just asked for some cleaning equipment to clean by ourselves and unfortunately got a very angry face from the woman there.
