I saw some past reviews mentioning slow service, but my experience today was excellent given the circumstances. I went alone and sat in the corner (555!). The patio was packed—one table of six, three tables of five, plus several 2–3 tops. People kept joining in, and the one waitress taking orders barely had time to breathe, supported by two food runners. Even so, they managed to keep up with everyone’s demands—and there were a lot. As a former waitress of four years, I felt their struggle.
Yes, the prices are on the higher side, but the quality is there. The coffee is some of the best on the island (and they even have decaf!). Another highlight: the eggs—I think because they’re slow-cooked in French butter but not sure. They also serve herb French butter with the baguette. The Israeli breakfast was very good, though not strictly Israeli—it included tuna and egg salad, guacamole, cream cheese, and tomato jam, with tahini and the salad being the only truly Israeli elements. It's my favorite if you like to try different things.
One thing to note: you might feel a bit out of place if you’re not part of the local crowd. It seemed like a hangout spot for young Israelis, and I felt a little like I had wandered into a party where I didn’t quite belong. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of.
Overall, I love this place and come almost every week—But for others.. just go earlier or later to avoid the rush and enjoy a calmer experience. **And don't forget to tip your waiter or waitress if they go above and beyond for you! 20 baht is nothing for many of us but it is a nice surprise for the...
Read moreFrom a place that specialises in sandwiches and salads, I expect much more. Starting from the bread: too airy and light, it surely contains some kind of vegetable oil because I get stomach-ache and burn every single time after eating here. A proper sourdough bread would be a much better option: there are great sourdough breads available on the island, I use them at home and they are surely not used here. Once I tried the gluten free option and the bread was stale. I mean: if you specialise in gourmet sandwiches, your bread must be the TOP of the top, no discussion. Then the egg salad: disappointing, very bland, tasteless. The mint leaves in my drink were all black and half rotten. The staff in the semi-open kitchen eating (!)and biting bread while preparing the food: no comment. The indoor space with few seats and often monopolised by digital nomads: unwelcoming. Sorry, it all needs improvement. Three stars just because I like the idea of offering Mediterranean food and because it's a very new place; I'm sure...
Read moreLooked like a cute relaxed spot. However the service was terrible. The staff were niceish.. when you could get hold of them. But considering 75% of the place is outside.. all the staff stayed inside. So no one outside had orders taken even though its table service. Everyone around us had to go and get one of the 3 waiters all talking to each other inside to come out and take an order. A lot of people got frustrated. I ordered a tuna sandwich. My girlfriends came first.. mine was 15 mins behind. How hard is it to time two sandwiches together 🤦🏻♂️ We wanted to eat together. Not me watch her for 15 mins whilst she then watched me eat. I asked for no onions in mine and I needed a diagram to explain as they said no they couldn’t not put onions on the top. I said I’d just pick them off myself.. and then it appeared with no onions.. such a silly thing. All in all not a great experience for something so simple and for 280 BHT for a sandwich you can get a lot more for your money else where. Disappointing and won’t...
