Cafe Yu — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

To my knowledge, the only place in town to get a sweet breakfast. Pity that the staff don't have the good sense not to play top-40s fare (Rihanna, Ariana, Biebs) at 7am. Further pity that with only two parties dining, they don't have the good sense to stand up and clear the tables. I went to the bathroom and came back a several minutes later to find my plate still on my table and two staff members sitting indifferently behind the bar. T-I-T. This Is Thailand.

Granted there is a hostel operating in tandem with this restaurant, as I understand it. If the dining room is packed with hungover gap-year travelers, I understand how they may not be able to attend tables beyond delivering the food. However, one expects a sanitary environment, and it's not the best practice to leave food out, period.

All not fresh food. Its all fastfood from plastic pack out. Egg benedict i can not recomend. Cold sausage, Croissant from plastic pack, taste was very sour. (Yes i know egg benedict is a bit sour, thats how the taste is) The salad from my girlfriend was good she say. Thats why 2 star. Maybe is better to eat the sweet breakfast.
