Well Deserved Michellin star. Glad my travelling companions managed to find this place and drove all the way to have lunch here. Boss lady could communicate with us in English, which was fortunate, as most of the other diners were local Thais, hardly any Farangs or other tourists ard cept for my goofy table of 3😬 Lady Boss recommended us a few dishes, but strongly suggested to us that we should try their fish soup hot pot with taro, which she said was their house specialty. All of us couldnt agree more. It was chock-abloc with de-boned fish slices which were very fresh, fleshy and sweet tasting. Soup was outta this world savory and sweet at the same time with obvious hits of umaminess. We couldnt stop drinking it till the last drop was drained. But mostly, the taro was soooo darn delicious. Plump and fleshly, not veiny nor stringy. Was sweet and very fresh, probably grown locally. I would thoroughly reccomend anyone coming to Surat Thani to come over here to try their food. Nothing but home-cooked goodness and warm hospitality all around.

I have 3 restaurants in Thailand as my forever life choices across thailand and this is gonna be the forth. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO COME. My partner (mexican american) and I (Thai) truly enjoyed our meal here before heading back to Bangkok.
I literally cried at the end of meal because it was so good. I kept eating till Im full and the last bite was still as amazing as my first bite. Gosh how on earth one could cook such an amazing thai food.
I also got butterfly pea coconut at the end. Such a wonderful way to end my day. This meal made me grateful...
Read moreThe worst meal during a three-week trip to Thailand. In many cases, we tried to go to well-established places, recommended by locals or the Michelin guide.
The moment we saw there was one menu for locals and another for foreigners, we should have left. It’s disrespectful. I asked the waiter why, and he told me that the Thai menu had dishes that were too spicy. Unbelievable.
The curry with sea bass was a very spicy, sour broth with no flavor. The stir-fried prawns with garlic and chili were actually fried, and the garlic was mostly skin that tasted like nothing. To top it off, another dish we wanted to order, which was supposed to be like fritters, turned out to be more fried prawns that had no flavor at all.
I don’t understand the rating.
