We’ve chosen this restaurant in Michelin guide. Looked nice, great menu and it was close to our hotel. But it was the most awful and chaotic service we’ve ever had. We ordered drink first and we’re choosing our food. We got our drinks in about 10-15 minutes what was quite long(only 1 room of 3 was full and other 2 was empty), but then we were waiting additional 10 minutes to order food as our waitress were busy making photos to other clients, talking and using her phone(so we ordered food in about 25-30 minutes). Other tables who came after us were eating before we make an order. After we ordered we got 2 dishes out of three and got 2 rices instead of 1. In 5 minutes other waitress brought us prawns we didn’t order and we told her that we ordered another one and in several minutes we got ours. In 5 more minutes we got another prawns as second waitress didn’t understand what we wanted. For additional rice we were waiting about 10 minutes so we ordered it once again and got 2 rices instead of 1. Such a pity that they have service included because it could be the first time we wouldn’t leave tips. Personally the food was good but some dishes were so spicy that we couldn’t eat it and nobody asked us about spiciness when ordered but we didn’t ask and that is our fault. There were a lot of great options in menu and we want to return here several more times but after such an experience we decided...

My experience at this restaurant fell short of expectations. Despite making a reservation in advance for 7 guests, no seafood was available. Additionally, the timing of the dishes was poorly managed—some guests waited 30 minutes longer for their meals while others had already finished eating. The server seemed untrained, struggling with tasks like distributing menus and taking orders accurately.

That said, the food itself had its highlights. My massaman curry was delicious with a generous portion size, and the oysters and pad krapao were also excellent. However, it was disappointing that half of our table received noticeably small portions, even after ordering 2-3 dishes each, leaving some guests hungry.

Overall, while the restaurant had a pleasant ambiance, the inconsistencies in service and portion sizes, combined with the high prices and its Michelin Bib Gourmand status, make it hard for me to recommend this as...

I have no idea where the restaurant got the Michelin sign. They probably bought it on Lazada. Absolutely don't recommend this place. My oysters were not separated from the stems, and they didn't give me special fork. The bbq shrimps, in reality, were much smaller than on the picture. We ordered two pad thai - with pork and shrimps. Both of them were cold. And in my pad thai I hardly found two small shrimps. After we finished, nobody took dishes from our table for a long time, so we had to sit at a not cleared table. In general, the food was much worse than in any cheap thai restaurant around. And all the prices didn't include VAT, so the price finally was higher than in menu (they wrote all the prices are subject to tax VAT and 10% service tax, but this is very uncomfortable to sum 17% to each price when you look in menu). Service isn't worth 10%, and I wouldn't leave tips. So, I don't recommend this...

Delicious Thai food and coffee that seems very popular with the locals! We thought we would give Sator a try after it was recommended to us. It was near perfect! The stand out dish for us was the Penang curry. We also tried the signature Sator shrimps, the stir fried fish, crab egg salad, and squid. The flavours are divine! The fish dish was slightly too spicy for our farang palettes but the underlying taste was excellent. For most people the spice would not be an issue! We neutralised it with some refreshing ice lattes (be sure to ask without sugar if you prefer unsweetened). The coffee was so good we took an espresso afterwards to really savour the roast. One of the best coffees we've had in Thailand. Also credit to Sator for creating a really chic, modern dining space with effective air con and convenient parking behind. Be sure to give Sator a try - all those locals can't be wrong!

We enjoyed a fine lunch at Kapi Sator today - the best meal we have had on Koh Samui so far. This was the 3rd Michelin restaurant we tried on Koh Samui and was the best of the bunch. Every dish was excellent and well prepared - exactly the type of Thai food you envision before visiting. Similar flavors to many of the dishes at home, but with so many unique dishes we do not get or even see on a menu. In particular, the wild boar curry and the deep fried stuffed squid were excellent. The ‘that appetizer’ was also very nice with excellent dipping ‘sauces’ for the various vegetables and nets. All dishes were great, and if we were staying longer, we would definitely come back. Service was also very good. Friendly and very attentive.
