Mixed feelings about this café. Came shortly after 8am when it was still fairly quiet with only 5 customers around. I took a seat outside and waited like 10 minutes for a waiter to bring me a menu which didn't happen. I then went inside, asked for one myself and waited for someone to take my order which also didn't happen. Had to go back inside to order which is totally okay if it's standard practice but it wasn't the case here. The waiters have tablets where they put the order in and I saw them going from table to table, so I don't know why or how they missed me twice.
The food was good. Not delicious but good. Could've used some more spices for the tofu scramble but the banana pancakes were pretty nice, so soft and sweet. The iced latte on the other hand was a bit disappointing. Too watered down for my liking. The presentation of it all was great though.
All in all I was expecting something else judging by the reviews and the praise this place gets. The atmosphere is great, minimalistic decor and pretty laid back vibe. The service was a bit of a letdown, as I said it wasn't busy at all so I don't know how that happened. Guess I was a bit unlucky...
Read moreOk, today I have learned something. After 3 days of getting my morning espresso here at what I thought was great cost @ 80baht, I decided to browse the menu today and discovered the vegan tofu scramble with mushrooms amd vege's for 200baht...Coffee included!!!! So how could I resist, the first mouthful seemed as bland as the colour of my aneamic tofu. However! Depair not, a few chews in and the flavours popped out🤗🤗 served with two lightly toasted sourdough (bread on this island seems great everywjere), a beautiful light crunch to it, served with a passionfruit jam and a vege patè, yummy😊 Including coffee this is great value for a western style joint. Comfy sofa"s great for watching world go by😊 Not a vegan place but cater's well for vegan breakfast. Easy to find across from 711 Haad Yao. Definately...
Read moreWhat an absolute pleasure it was to discover this beautiful brunch spot. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a calm island vibe that makes you want to stay for hours. The food is outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite feels like it’s been prepared with real care and passion.
But what really made the experience unforgettable was the owner. Being Portuguese myself, it was such a joy to meet a fellow countryman here in Thailand. He is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and clearly pours his heart into this place. It’s rare to find this combination of amazing food, great service, and genuine hospitality.
Highly recommend to anyone visiting Koh Pha Ngan – whether you’re here for a coffee, a long brunch, or just good energy, this...
