Beautiful, well maintained pool villa, wonderful staff, serene beach.
From the moment we were picked up at the airport by the hotel's minivan service, to the time we were dropped off, service was seamless. The resort facilities and each and each & every staff member met and surpassed all of our expectations.
The resort grounds and our pool villa were immaculate & well maintained. Every morning, without fail, a housekeeper knocked on our door to ask if our room needed service. Our villa had the comfiest beds with cloud-like pillows and duvets inside, and a huge chaise and 2 lounge chairs on the patio. There were many electrical outlets inside and outside of our room and the electricity never cut out even once, not even during storms, unlike in Lamai and Chaweng where the power goes out constantly. Linens were pristine, and there were toiletries aplenty. Every last detail was thought of; even white bathrobes and room slippers were provided. Both my friend and I were very impressed with the resort's attention to detail.
The breakfast buffet had both western and Thai offerings, and service was stellar through and through. The concierge even gave us 10% discount meal & beverage coupons. The resort staff were always happy to help and acknowledged every request efficiently and courteously. Happy hour was from 4pm to 6pm and 100 baht cocktails were on special. At lunchtime, there was a krapow personal pan pizza & your choice of soda for 140 baht. Everything I had from the resort's restaurant was delicious!
The resort's wifi signal was far superior to my internet on the mainland, not that anyone would actually need wifi on such a beautiful, serene stretch of beach. While the beach wasn't white sand, it was very peaceful, unlike the busier Chaweng area, and Mae Nam Beach is stunning in its own right, offering a breathtaking sunrise view as well as a spectacular view of Koh Phangan. Another thing I noticed was the diversity of hotel guests. There were solo travelers, couples, families, and groups of friends staying at the resort.
I did have to do a bit of work towards the end of my trip, and the resort had computers available in the lobby area, which was most helpful. Cocopalm resort is a real gem and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mae Nam Beach...
Read moreCoco Palm Beach Hotel on Samui is a great place to stay if you like original Thai hotels and don't expect a 5 star resort. Good middle class bungalows, simple but clean. Everything you need is in the complex. Worth mentioning are all the employees in all areas who always have a smile on their faces, just like you know from Thailand. There is a restaurant, a VSR and a delicious breakfast buffet. there is always something for everyone. Nearby is massage, delicious restaurants and a mini market. It's about a 2 km walk to the main street or you can rent a scooter directly opposite the hotel. You can get a scooter for around eight euros a day. Depending on how long the rental period is. There are plenty of sun loungers on the hotel's beach, which are also complemented by loungers by the pool. The pool is large enough, but only suitable for swimmers. Children can go swimming there with water wings and adults can also go swimming. There are enough shaded areas on the beach and also by the pool. Parasols, among other things, also ensure this. Each bungalow has a terrace where you can sit in peace in the evenings. And because the hotel is the fair pier where you can go to the neighboring island for around twelve euros. It's definitely worth taking a day trip there. The bar also sometimes has happy hour where they offer cocktails for half the price. This is highly recommended. The food in the restaurant is good. It's a bit more expensive than outside. But the relationship is still normal in the restaurant. There are electric shuttles in the complex that can take you from the entrance to your bungalow. There is no charge for it, but the driver is always happy to receive a little tip. Just like all the other employees who do their best every day, everyone is happy about a few baht/euro tips. The dogs in the complex are all very friendly. You still shouldn't feed her. We were in the complex for three weeks and took a close look at Ko Samui. It's definitely worth a big trip. But you can also get an impression within a few days. But you should invest at least four days to get to know Samuel. We wish you a great time at the Coco Palm Beach Resort. Enjoy your time and see the...
