I’m a former baker who grew up in a family of bakers. So perhaps that is why I’m a bake goods addict. I love anything sourdough.
In all my travels I focus on bread tasting and bakery spotting. Those are my landmarks., my tourist spots. After visiting a few bakeries in samui with mixed feelings, I was so happy, the night before leaving, real tasty and well made bread. Absolutely stunning !!!
The bread is great to say the least. Right sourness, pleasantly nutty with a well balanced chewy texture. We try the « fit bread ».
But the pinnacle of my experience was the interaction with the people behind SBB. I didn’t know angels bake bread.
They talk about the craft with such passion and love. They do the extra mile and beyond. They are such warm and full of love individuals and you can taste it in the bread.
Please do yourself a favor and go get real tasty sourdough baked by kindhearted people. Nothing better than food made by people who care. Hug them back and show them your support one loaf at the time.

I bought their three loaves, the Dark, Semi-dark and FIT. I really liked them all. It is great that they are different in taste and texture. The added seeds and grains makes them really stand out. Their starter provides depth of flavour and texture, which comes through in the crumb of the loaf, with a great pattern of air holes. The bread remains moist and firm which allows for the easy cutting.... all in all great bread.
Oh... their veggie Lasagna was super too. It is great when someone go through to the effort to home make the sauces and ingredients. I especially liked the fresh peppercorns in it, as they gave an instant burst of flavour when they popped in your mouth.
I look forward to tasting more from this great family kitchen. Clearly great talent to bake so many things in their wood fired oven..., I must...

We first had the semi dark loaf which was epic. Great texture of sourdough and taste. We also ordered pitas and they were so good we had to order some more. We loved all the flavor, especially the spinach stuffings. We also ordered cinnamon rolls which were wonderful. The big size of the rolls was highly appreciated! We loved the bready but also fluffy texture of the roll and the stuffings were full of nuts and other goodness. Beautiful flavours and not too sweet.
