Breadie — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

I missed my home and especially Christmas time when everything in my city smells like cinnamon, cloves and star anise. So what a surprise when I saw a chimney cake which is widely spread around Czechia and in the festive time... that smell is just marvellous. And of course Breadie didn't disappoint. Very quick service, happy staff, great owners and the taste is just the ONE. Can't wait to taste open sandwiches as well 😋

UPDATE: Since first visit we came to Breadie 2x more - we tried open sandwiches and it didn't disappoint - especially burger open sandwich was a pleasant surprise 😋. My favourite was the classic - ham and cheese as there is homemade potato salad as a base. Our second visit we tried sweet specials which were strudel and honeycake. The service staff are lovely and welcoming. I had the eggs Benedict and was a bit disappointed. It was on a piece of sliced white toasting bread, I was expecting English muffins, like the way it's traditionally supposed to be. There was one poached egg and a tiny bit of split hollandaise sauce that tasted of nothing. The ham was fine. Two ladies in the corner speaking Russian gave me the impression that they were something to do with the ownership of the restaurant. They were having a meeting of some kind and were very ignorant to the fact that there was a customer there. I left with a feeling that the restaurant is not run in a professional way. I have mixed feelings about this place. They are doing something different that is worth supporting. I had a very good hot Americano coffee. My bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was fresh, nicely presented, a generous size and generous fillings. Three slices of what looked like home made bread. With filled layers. The bread was lightly toasted. Different to the filled bagels, baguettes and croissants available elsewhere. That is why I say it is different. A nice change.
