Yam's Kitchen — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Nice view, especially during the sunset and low tide. The food isngood and the servic was fast. I do not know how fast it is if all the tables were occupied. I know that 1.5 hours is the norm waiting for food in Koh Phangan, but we were among three other tables, and the food arrived promptly. The curry was creamy and healthy, and I have only good thoughts about it. My only concern regards the trash around the beach. It's a pity, but this tends to be the norm in less high-end development areas. Local kids and friendly dogs running around the beach. Adults fiahing for crabs. It is serene and unforgettable. It takes a bit of effort to look past the discarded various trash against the shore, but in the end, it is worth it. Visited Koh Pha Ngan for 2 nights (full moon party). Read the incredible reviews of this place and after eating there, I definitely agree! We had every meal at Yam’s because the food was so tasty and affordable. My favorite was the coconut curry, which I got three times in a row!

Price is good. The banana milkshake is where at. The best one I've had thus far. Opens at 10am-ish.. It's Thai time ya know. They have breakfast foods, lunch and dinner. American and Thai cuisine. We had the Thai foods and it was yummy. We've gone back twice already. Our hotel foods are a rip off so this is a better option plus you get the chance of catching a beautiful sunset.
