A Hidden Vintage Gem in Bangkok – Sriyan Tea Room
If you’re someone who enjoys discovering places with charm, history, and heart—Sriyan Tea Room is the kind of café you’ll want to linger in. Nestled in the quiet neighborhood of Dusit, this tearoom is housed in a beautifully preserved old Thai-style wooden house that immediately makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The original architecture has been lovingly maintained, and every detail—right down to the wall colors, furniture, and lighting—feels carefully curated to retain the warmth and nostalgia of an old family home.
I’ve been here several times now, and every visit leaves me with a little more love for the place. Whether I come with close friends or introduce it to new ones, everyone walks away impressed—not just by how photogenic it is, but by how genuinely relaxing it feels to sit and chat here. The atmosphere is peaceful yet not too quiet, stylish without being pretentious. It strikes that perfect balance that so many cafés try to achieve but rarely do.
The drinks and desserts are thoughtfully designed to match the vintage aesthetic. Each tea is fragrant in its own unique way—subtle, smooth, and served with care. One of my personal favorites is the floral herbal blend that somehow tastes like comfort in a cup. The desserts? Beautiful and satisfying, both in flavor and presentation. I usually end up ordering extra to take home—they’re that good.
Prices are not cheap, but honestly, they feel completely justified given the overall experience. You’re not just paying for tea; you’re paying for a slice of heritage, a quiet afternoon in a stunning space, and a memory that lingers long after the teacups are empty.
If you’re in Bangkok and looking for a tea room with soul, this is a place that delivers far more than what’s on the menu. It’s one of those spots where time seems to slow down a little—where conversations flow more gently and everything around you feels intentionally beautiful. I know I’ll keep coming back, and I’m already looking forward to the next peaceful visit with more...
