Mama Made Roti — Restaurant in Thung Maha Mek Subdistrict

Hey so I’m at my friend here for lunch yesterday and this is a place that I’ve been wanting to go for such a long time and finally I’ve got a chance to go here she suggested it and I was like how did she read my mind in order to come here!

We ordered all the dishes and beef I was craving beef we ordered the beef soup, the beef steak with the jim jeaw sauce which I absolutely love, the spicy beef salad with the crispy rice on top and both of these beef dishes came with sticky rice!!🍚

We also ordered a salad that had tofu and the only thing was I didn’t really like that peanut sauté kind of sauce for the salad however because it was sweet and I prefer spicy things on my food food as it’s not dessert so the sugar inside the sauté for me was not pleasant but that’s OK ! The consistency and everything else was really good with the salad! 🥗

We go to the crispy roti and also just a regular roti which they’re very famous for when you pour the condensed milk on top !

Everything was really tasty and on point I would highly recommend to go here this is Muslim food to you the food here is all Halal and no pork is served in this restaurant !

I was so disappointed with customer service. Whereas there are so many staff behind the bar but no one pay attention and greeting customers. They were playing and chatting. Staff was a bit rude and unfriendly. I ordered Thai tea frappe and iced green tea. When the drinks came, they came from different bar. It was made me wonder why they didn’t make and serve in the restaurant. Iced green tea was brought from outside with straw in the plastic glass which it shouldn’t be!! I would be okay if they sealed the glass and covered straw. However, food was amazing with reasonable price. I did enjoy all savoury and sweet Roti. I would give more stars for them if they cared customer...

I am huge fan of roti with savory curry. It is quite easy to find roti with sweat toppings in Bangkok but a good Halal savory roti is not easy to find. Mama Made Roti is definitely one of the best in the city.

I ordered the southern style massaman roti set. The beef was soft and deeply flavorful. Just a perfect accompaniment to my Roti Canai. I also had some delicious chicken skewers with a tangy cucumber salad. A very enjoyable lunch.

Mama Made Roti seems to be very busy during the lunch hour. Even though this is a fairly large restaurant, I would recommend a reservation especially if you are a large group.
