First, let’s talk about the pros. The location is convenient, within walking distance of nail shops, restaurants, and other amenities. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are somewhat spacious with a nice patio, and the property is pet-friendly. There’s also a decent rooftop where you can relax and take your dog out. The amenities are good — a 24-hour gym and swimming pool. Another positive is that the housekeeping staff has been very kind during my stay. The pros that matter slightly outweigh the cons. As an expat, constantly moving from hotel to hotel can be exhausting, so stability is important. I would recommend lining up other options just in case you encounter issues. During my stay, my small Shih Tzu was attacked by an aggressive dog on the rooftop. To make matters worse, the dog’s owner harassed me, used slurs, and even threatened to have me removed from the hotel. Despite video proof, management did nothing to resolve the situation. Instead of holding the aggressive guest accountable, they turned the blame on me and suggested I leave. What made it worse was the way they handled it: they claimed there was “nothing they could do,” yet in the same conversation offered me a free night — but only if I agreed to check out immediately. At that point, I knew that if I made any type of valid complaint, they were going to look at me as the problem instead of addressing the actual issue. That was only the first incident. Later, while I was working out in the gym, an older male removed his pants and began exercising near me in just his underwear, ultimately exposing himself while we were alone in the facility. I reported this to management and again showed video evidence — but once again, it was brushed off, and I was made to feel like I was simply “complaining.” I even witnessed the male manager roll his eyes and sigh heavily while I was explaining the situation to another manager. When I asked him multiple times to review the video, he initially refused to even look at it. His attitude has been consistently dismissive and rude throughout my stay, to the point where I had to tell him directly that I was observing what was going on and no longer wanted to be spoken to in a disrespectful manner. The third issue I encountered was with their reservation system. Every single week, whenever I tried to extend or make a reservation, there was an error or problem on their end. This eventually forced me to book through Expedia, where I ended up spending over $100 extra simply because of their internal system issues. The fourth issue was the Wi-Fi. After the first week, the internet stopped working on a consistent basis. I was promised that connecting an Ethernet cord directly into my computer would fix the issue, but of course it didn’t. When I raised the problem again, I was basically told that they wouldn’t fix it and didn’t know how to fix it. The “solution” I was offered was to either deal with the internet constantly crashing or leave the hotel. That’s how management handles problems here — they don’t fix them, they just push the responsibility back onto the guest. On top of that, their website is just as unreliable. I’ve spent 3–5 hours each week trying to deal with technical issues related to both their internet and their booking system. Ultimately, management has done nothing to fix these problems and lacks even the most basic communication and comprehension skills. This isn’t about a language barrier — it’s about a team that simply isn’t equipped with the professional tools to run the hotel effectively. All in all, this hotel may feel like a 3.5-star property on the surface because of its amenities, location, and kind housekeeping staff, but if you value customer service or expect management to handle serious issues appropriately, I cannot recommend staying here.

The Shama Yen-Akat Hotel in Bangkok stands as a pinnacle of luxury and hospitality, surpassing even the most esteemed five-star establishments across Asia. As a seasoned traveler with experiences in countless five-star hotels, I can confidently declare Shama Yen-Akat as my favourite hotel in Bangkok. From the moment of arrival, the hotel emanates an aura of pristine cleanliness and spaciousness that sets the tone for an unparalleled stay. The staff, exemplifying excellence in service, are the true heart of this establishment. Special mention must be made of Mink, the door staff, whose warmth and attentiveness made us feel truly valued. Additionally, the security personnel stationed outside provide a sense of safety and security, and are really friendly - adding to the overall comfort of the stay. Situated in a high-end area of Bangkok, the location of Shama Yen-Akat further enhances its appeal. The surrounding neighborhood offers a blend of sophistication and convenience, adding to the allure of the hotel. What truly sets Shama Yen-Akat apart is its consistency in delivering exceptional service. Even upon returning for a second stay after a brief departure from Bangkok, the standard of service remained unwavering, ensuring a seamless and delightful experience. One of the most appealing aspects of this remarkable establishment is its excellent value for the quality it provides. Despite its luxurious amenities and top-notch service, the pricing remains surprisingly reasonable, making it an unbeatable choice for discerning travelers. Moreover, the hotel's pet-friendly policy adds an extra layer of charm. While we didn't have the pleasure of traveling with our furry companions, so it was heartwarming to witness so many pets enjoying their stay alongside their owners. We highly recommend you stay here when visiting Bangkok.

The hotel is located in the city center but still feels quiet and peaceful. A big plus is that pets are allowed, which I really appreciated. There is an additional charge of 500 THB, but the place is very clean and fresh, with no unpleasant smells even with pets around. The bathroom is spacious, and the overall cleanliness is excellent. Facilities include a fitness center, swimming pool, and a rooftop area where you can even take your dogs or cats for a walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to K. Bank, K. Plair, and K. Top for their quick service and warm smiles. For breakfast, it’s served as individual dishes which was a bit disappointing. The overall taste was just average and nothing really stood out. My mom also didn’t like the coffee cups because they were thick and heavy, which made drinking coffee less enjoyable. Highly recommended for its location, pet-friendly policy, and great service, though breakfast could be improved.

I'm writing this review a few days after my 4 night stay here.

This was my last hotel of my Bangkok trip and MAN I'm happy I chose this hotel. First off, the 4 star rating of this hotel is just plainly untrue (in a good way) I've stayed at a couple 5 star hotels during my travels and they simply do NOT compare with how good this hotel is.

From the start the staff were above the common "Thai hospitality" all over Thailand, the service is great at most hotels, however, this hotel is a step above. I then am brought to my room, which is a good size, SUPER modern and INCREDIBLY clean.

The lighting in the room makes the room feel like a 5 star room, from main lighting setting to the "romance" mode of the lights, only offering really beautiful backlighting for all the major features of the room. The bathroom is world class, along with a formal dressing area, huge shower and very modern and upscale fixtures. My room also came with a shockingly nice balcony (with no loud external AC unit) Then, we need to talk about the great infinity edged pool on the 3rd floor, the 24/7 gym, with modern gym fixtures and FANTASTIC AC, making working out pleasurable (the first time for me in Thailand with this heat)

The rooftop sports a pet area, children's jungle gym and a couple awesome hangout spots, with all the natural plants you'd expect, fantastic views of Bangkok and a weekend market literally across the street.

Make no mistakes, if you are a north American traveler in Bangkok, don't be fooled with the star rating, this is a 5 star hotel, pretending to be a 4 star.

Every element of my experience here has been beyond my expectations and my only regret is NOT finding this hotel earlier. In my trip I stayed at 3, 4 and 5 star hotels. This is the BEST one in Bangkok, from the multiple I have used now.

The hotel itself is in a much quieter area of bangkok, but ordering a bolt is quick and easy.

5/5, A++ hotel. When I come back to Bangkok I intend on staying here the entire trip and just taking Bolt wherever I want to go.

The concierge I have to specifically mention (I'm so sorry I don't remember your name) but his service, warm inviting smile and incredible attitude was my first interaction with the hotel and man, he did wonders making me feel like I booked the right place.

I've since gone to Singapore and long for a hotel at this level of quality for a reasonable price.

Seriously, if you're looking at hotels and see this being a 4 star hotel and are skimming the reviews, book this hotel. You will not regret it. Seriously better than a 5 star hotel I stayed in.

Cannot say more nice things about this hotel, it's staff, it's...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Shama Yen-Akat Bangkok in room 801 and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel’s location in the rapidly developing Central Business District of Silom and Sathorn offers a perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility. It’s just a 10-minute drive from Chong Nonsi BTS Station and Lumphini MRT Station, making it convenient for both business and leisure travelers.

The accommodations are outstanding. I stayed in a spacious studio that was impeccably clean and well-appointed. The room featured a comfortable living area, a dedicated workspace, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, which was perfect for my needs. The modern design and thoughtful amenities made it feel like a home away from home.

One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel’s pet-friendly policy. Traveling with my small dog, I was delighted to find that the staff were incredibly accommodating and provided pet amenities such as bowls, a pet bed, and even treats. This level of attention to detail truly sets Shama Yen-Akat apart.

The facilities are top-notch. I took advantage of the well-equipped fitness center and enjoyed a refreshing swim in the pristine pool. The on-site coffee shop serves excellent coffee and a variety of delicious dishes, making it a convenient spot for breakfast or a quick snack.

The staff deserve special mention for their exceptional service. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive assistance throughout my stay, they went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Their professionalism and friendliness truly enhanced my visit.

In summary, Shama Yen-Akat Bangkok offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, with or without a pet, this hotel provides an outstanding experience that I...
