AoKao Beach Club KohMak — Restaurant in Trat Province

The location is exceptional but I'm here to rate the food.

I ate there three times as I enjoyed relaxing on their beach.

The food is average. I know that the owner was gone as a matter of fact and it reflects in the work of the waiting staff: nobody does anything, I must be the one to get the menu at the bar, no cold water in the fridge, Christmas decoration still on at the end of January, ...

As for the food, it's average. I had a Pad Thai that was OK, the worst pizza I have ever had in my life, and the tom yum was good but the lemongrass was so finely chopped, it became a challenge to eat it without swallowing a tiny piece that would have hurt your throat.

We had a great 3 days here. The beach is amazing and we had it all to ourselves mostly.. If you love snorkeling, then you will enjoy it here. Lots of sea cucumbers, giant clams, and a verity of tropical fish to view. The resort shared their snorkeling masks for free, which was a plus. The food was OK, nothing special, but thats fine. They have motobikes to rent if you wish to explore. There are more attractive higher end hotels on the island, but none of them have a location as good as this. We wanted a beach holiday and that's what we got. The owner couldn't do enough for us. Even going as far as collecting us...
