KohMak Home Hug Restaurant — Restaurant in Trat Province

This gem is owned by such a lovely family. I was staying down the beach and walked here my first night. I returned every night for dinner because I loved both the food and the atmosphere.

The food is top-notch. Go for the crispy pork with chili sauce appetizer. WOW, the sauce is a mouthwatering: complex, funky, deep, and with some (but not too much) bite. I complimented the chef and she talked with me about what goes into it and how they make it fresh every day.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I tended to eat late each night so it coincided with the family sitting down for dinner together too. I was never unattended and I really enjoyed seeing them bring this little dose of family life into my holiday away from my own.

This restaurant is one of the best in all of Koh Mak and we loved it.

At the entrance to the restaurant is a beautiful garden full of amazing plants and runs along the entire house.

It is run by a nice couple and everything we tasted here was so tasty.

The food offer is great where everyone will find their own.

To drink you can try Lemon honey tea or Lemon cafe.

We were happy to come back to the restaurant and if I will be at ko Mak, I will definitely visit the restaurant again, fully RECOMMENDED!!!

They have games for you to interact with your family or friends while you wait for the food. Nice soundtrack every time we were there - all pop songs in reggae style. The food is absolutely delicious! We ordered Stir Fried Chicken Cashew Nuts, Mango Blended, Chicken Wings, Pad Thai and Shrimp with Tamarind Sauce. Everything had a great taste.
