J. Mam Seafood — Restaurant in Trat Province

When you’re on an island like Koh Chang it’s only natural to feast on seafood.

And feasting we did. I forgot how many kilo of tiger prawns we ordered but it was a lot. And we finished it. I also forgot how much it cost. Which meant that it was cheap.

You can score freshly caught seafood at very reasonable prices because the restaurant owner is also a whole sale fish monger.

So you pick out your choice at the fish tanks and they’ll grill it, steam it or fry for you. A warning though, it’s an outdoor restaurant so there will be a lot of flies.

Excellent Thai seafood restaurant. Looks a little run down and no one is in a hurry but the taste is amazing. Fried morning glory, yellow egg curry squid, crab fried rice and the phat cha fried mixed seafood with chillies, lime leaf, pepper corns is fresh and delicious. Going back tomorrow.
