Sea Breeze, Centara Koh Chang — Restaurant in Trat Province

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights, and had daily breakfast as part of the room rate, and dinner a couple of times since my parents and children did not want to go off site. It is located right along the beach, which gives you nice views and ambiance.

The staff and management were always warm and welcoming for breakfast. I liked the Thai noodle station, the rotating menu on the frying/grilling station (satay, fried wontons, etc.). I also liked the Thai coffee station. The was also a selection of fruits, breads, and western items. I did not try the western breakfast items.

For dinner, there is less staff. Sometimes it is quicker to get up and approach the host station or the bar if you want to order more drinks or get someone’s attention. I don’t particularly have an issue with it (seems like the normal amount of attentiveness in Thailand), but others might. Some of the things we ordered included picante pizza, fries, pad Thai, shrimp fried rice, spaghetti with tomato sauce, and things off of the happy hour menu: chicken satay, calamari, and fried spring rolls. Overall the food was good, but unsure about the happy hour food value for the quantity. Each happy hour item had 4 pieces, and was 99 baht. However, the beers (and drinks in general I believe, but you should check) are 50% off during happy hour, and it felt like a good deal.

This restaurant is a good option for those who wish to not leave the hotel...

Slow service and poor quality meals. They took 50 minutes to prepare our four meals. They forgot to bring a coke zero we ordered. When we reordered it took about 15 minutes to arrive. They had a lot of staff but the service was still slow. When our meals came, the chips and the meat in the pork wrap were cold. They did apologise and offered a bowl of chips shortly afterwards. In fairness, half of us enjoyed our meals (they had the spaghetti bolognese and the pork fillet) but the rest of us didn't (shesh kebab and pork wrap). we wandered down to this restaurant from santhiya tree and enjoyed their happy hour for cheap cocktails, which were excellent. great bar service, and nice areas to sit and look at the seaview. we ate there as well in the restaurant and had a real tasty penang curry and pad thai.The waitress was lovely....
