BEYOND CAFE อาชีวศึกษาอุดรธานี — Restaurant in Udon Thani Province

The chain of Beyond Cafes in Udon and Nong Khai has been a welcome addition to the area. I've been to each of the locations and they are consistent in quality, relaxed atmosphere, nice ambiance, and well-trained staff.

Prices are reasonable for the quality. My kids like to order warm vanilla milk, and prefer the Phorsi Road location so they can watch the ducks in the pond. They provide a rewards card; the more you order, the more free items you can get.

The menu here has expanded to be a full-blown restaurant serving delicious cafe food. My son recently ordered Mac-and-cheese with bacon, and we both enjoyed it.

My Angus beef cheesesburger, however, was full of gristle. Fairly large pieces of gristle. A bit of gristle, I can understand. But I was getting big pieces in almost every bite.

And for 250 Thai baht, I was disappointed to see the paltry size of the accompanying fries. I'm sorry to say that due to this experience, I DO NOT RECOMMEND ordering the burgers.

I have met the owner and suggest he looks into this problem.

This location is still a wonderful place to eat with many good dishes served, but wow, there is no excuse to serve up such a low-quality beef patty and to charge premium...

29 October 2022 Back here after the covid break. Quieter and more subdued with pleasant staff and light music. Clean and comfortable. A nice improvement and has settled comfortably with itself.

2020 Now open! The usual array of everything sugary sweet from this business. A standard range of coffees (insipid latte) and no water station; but, 15฿ for a small glass of iced water! Lots of outdoor seating under large shady trees overlooking a small body of water.
