I've heard great things about this place from several friends so I decided to give it a try. No real complaints. Food was great, atmosphere really nice, food prices very reasonable. I also like that they had a selection of quality non-acoholic drinks as I didn't feel like drinking, but wanted something decent.
My only complaints might be that the main dishes came out at different times which is common for Thailand, but I would think wouldn't be for a nice restuarant such as this. I prefer the main dishes coming out together so everyone can start to eat at the same time without having to wait for the others.
I had to call the staff each time I wanted something. I was sitting in the corner and probably why they weren't looking my direction each time. Maybe some call-button system might be helpful. Also, I and my guest both ordered second drinks and at different times, yet each time they did not remove our empty first glass--we left the restuarant with our original empty glass and our new drink glass at the table as they never came to remove it. I would think they would have done that when they brought a new glass.
Paper napkins which is ok, but I ordered the ribs as you can see and for something like that I might expect they'd bring me a real cloth napkin, but that's not too much an issue for me.
Other than those really minor issues, the place was great and...
Read moreI had spaghetti alla bolognese, and my friend ordered onion soup for starter followed by penne alla carbonara. When ordering pasta, you can choose between four types (i.e., spaghetti, penne, fettuccine or squid ink), which is very nice. Then, the plate of pasta comes with a tasty piece of garlic bread on the side (only downside for me is that it is soft bread). Everything was nice. Maybe I slightly preferred the carbonara over the bolognese, but it might vary according to personal taste. A good option for fancy lunch or dinner in Udon, as it is indeed a little expensive. We didn’t try the desserts but they had various options that all seemed appetizing (crème brûlée, crêpe Suzette, tiramisu, waffle, etc.). They also...
Read moreWe visited as a 3 adults and 2 small children April 2020 . Food was quite bland, even simple fried rice for children bland. The menu has nice options and introduction of the chef as international cruise ship and hotel experience - though I cannot understand why the food was very bland, as experienced by wife and her sister. Staff were super busy and nice, place was very clean, parking directly adjacent, prices not too terrible. The arrangement at the base of a condominium block meant that toilets were outside and at approx 50 meters away. I do wish this restaurant luck, though need to improve the taste and also the pre-al dente was a bit tough on the...
