Jude’s Journey Scoop — Restaurant in Udon Thani Province

This shop has been open for over one year, but it was only by chance that I discovered it on Google Maps.

The handmade ice cream here is fabulous. A lot of care and precision goes into making the desert concoctions from high-quality ingredients.

The owner Jude got his degree from a university in London to become an architect, and he is responsible for the terrific interior design of this shop.

Jude is friendly and more than willing to chat about the deserts and his journey to open such a wonderful shop.

He and his mom, who got a degree in architecture from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, wanted to replicate the look and feel of a five-star luxury hotel lobby, and they have wildly succeeded.

It's not surprising that several BMWs and Mercedes vehicles were parked in front because this shop somehow just oozes luxury.

But the prices are reasonable considering the ice cream is handmade on the premises and contains only the best ingredients.

My wife and I had coffees and ice cream and took ice cream home to our children.

I highly recommend theThai burnt toast. I chose mine with vanilla ice cream flecked with vanilla bean, and it was absolutely fabulous . As I stated before, the ice cream is subtly sweet and not overly sweet as some ice cream is.

So be advised that the deserts here are not super sweet but are rich with flavor.

Nestled in a small street just a hundred meters from Nong Prajak Park you will find this comfortable and relaxing ice cream lovers paradise. Serving a tempting selection of homemade ice creams which can be accompanied by a ‘better than most’ choice of international coffee beans for the perfect pairing. The Thai burnt toast and ice cream is a personal favourite of mine and is a “must have” when you order! The menu is varied and sophisticated and is certainly full of delicious surprises. Wow. Just WOW!!! I’ve never been to an ice cream shop like this before in the states and I am in love! The Beach Boy iced coffee was amazing, citrusy, sweet, and pleasantly tangy. And the Philadelphia ice cream on top of the Burnt Toast is sublime. The crisp warm crunch of the caramelized toast against the cool and creamy ice cream is a match made in heaven.

On the way out I snagged an iced Yuzu tonic matcha and it’s crisp and refreshing flavor was perfect after indulging in my creamy cream cheese ice cream.
