We were excited to try our first Michelin star restaurant and we're surprised there is one in Udon Thani. We thought we needed to make reservations but we walked in and there's available seat for us. The restaurant wasn't full and there's plenty of seating. As soon as we walked in, it felt "expensive" but their menu is actually affordable.
We ordered fresh spring rolls with their special Maeya sauce, crabmeat with rice and padthai. The servings are not for sharing but each plate was filling. It did not taste extraordinary for me though. The spring roll was a bit dry and bland. The padthai and crabmeat were okay. The fried vanilla icecream, however, was bomb! It was my favorite part of the meal. It was not overly sweet and it has the right crunch.

Read moreThis restaurant locates in the city. There is no car park available but you can park along the street. We were waiting for staff to take an order for around 15 mins and waiting for our meal for roughly almost an hour. At first, we were pretty upset because it took more than an hour from entering the restaurant until we got the first dish. But once all dishes have been served, they were incredibly delicious. In the end, we forgive them because food is superb, the staffs are nice and friendly, and the place is clean. We visited during the holiday so I believed that is a reason why they were busy and took sometimes to serve food....

The food: was average, we ordered 3 of the signature dishes, the seafood curry in coconut, the tenderloin beef, and the prawn cakes. Still searching for the seafood in the curry, and I doubt the beef was a tenderloin cut. We are still waiting to see the prawn cakes as they never arrived.
