The City Wok Chinese & Steakhouse — Restaurant in San Fernando

My family and I have frequented this establishment for many years but lately we have had bad experiences. A few months ago we bought take out which we had to throw out as it was just tasteless and inedible. $250. 00 lost. Today I took my brother there for his 60th birthday and retirement celebration. I hoped that the previous experience was an isolated one. On arrival we were not greeted and had to seat ourselves. No one bothered to ask if we were celebrating any special event. We asked for a virgin daiquiri for my daughter and was brought and alcoholic drink. There was no apology by the waiter. This is a waiter we have known for many years. Instead we were told that we ordered incorrectly. I took the drink and ordered another for her. This added to my bill since I had already ordered a drink for myself. We ordered half portions of five dishes. These were served in the same size dishes that serves the quarter sized portions. If a half is double the amount as a quarter, how does it fit in the same size dish? We were charged, of course, for half sized portions. The food was not as bad as the take away a few months back but the standard of service , taste and portion size of food was not satisfactory and therefore , after many years of dining, I will not be...

The City Wok and Steak House (Formerly Jenny's Wok) used to be one of my regular and favorite hangouts on a Friday afternoon after work years ago. Had not had their food in many years and in recent months with Covid-19 being in the air my Mum & I have began ordering lunch from them every few weeks. Let me begin my saying Thank You to City Wok for being one of San Fernando's only Chinese Restaurants that continue to offer delivery home service in a timely and very pleasant manner. Our delivery girl is always within the time frame they give, food is properly packaged in Biodegradable containers (which in my eyes is a huge plus), always hot and fresh. Most important to note she always has on her facemask properly and has hand sanitizer near. Our food (regardless of what we order) on any given day is always super delicious! and plentiful so that we always have dinner from it as well :). One of my most favorite meats that no one else ever seems to make taste as awesome is their Chashu Pork :) I could just never seem to get enough of it! :) not to mention their Steamed Wantons which is to absolutely die for! So yesterday was my dad's birthday and we came.. We asked thid bald headed waiter if there's space upstairs the man literally barked at us with a no! I swore he was a dog. Next they placed us there and man the food was expensive! We waited 45 mins for food, then a glass of non alcoholic wine is 25tt. Really? I can buy a bottle for the Cost non alcoholic. The waiter didn't appogize for the delay in food the Indian dark guy with glasses . I literally called aquarium restaurant to go. The cost was expensive that I can actually say I went wing Hua in chagunanas bought 2 alcoholic cocktails, pepper shrimp, chicken, rice and noodles and my bill was 170tt while here was 390tt for noodles, pepper shrimp, chicken and rice and fish. Plus the dessert literally 2 bites was 50tt and up. The food taste was OK compared to alot of places. I didn't even bother to take a photo of the food and I had the complementry glass of water and those who know me know I like to post and take photos. I still wonder how the hell this place with rude staff still...
