Canton Palace — Restaurant in San Fernando

Dont go to this place if you don’t have time on your hands . I visited here and placed an order for two small portion of food and while I waiting over 30 mins I became annoyed and asked for a refunded because I didn’t have the time to wait any longer . I told the girls at the front that I’ll like a refund because the wait is too long and also they was another customer that ordered by calling about an hour ago and when he arrived his food still wasn’t ready and he to became annoyed . They refused to give me a refund and then suddenly the food came out and they just placed it on the counter without even apologizing or acknowledging that I wanted a refund … to the Chinese lady at the back of a customer asks for a refund you are not suppose to deny them …to better than that please…a customer has all right to request a refund of the food wasn’t eaten or prepare as yet . As for that I will not support this establishment again . Poor service and very rude...

Canton is one of those stalwarts of San Fernando Chinese food, but I had not purchased from Canton in a bit...never had a bad meal here before. Decided to for a birthday. Literally everything was bad. Duck, chicken steak, shrimp fried rice, shrimp in tomato sauce, tofu was inedible, spring roll dripped out over 1/4 cup of oil all. Very sub par both in the quality of the item as well as the flavour. The chicken Dumplings had no filling. Everyone was shocked at the lack of quality from what used to be a dependable restaurant. We all surmised that they lost their chef. But whatever the reason, spend your money elsewhere. Oh, also their prices have gone up. Over $1000 in food in the trash in this economy. Service is questionable. I normally order a meal of jasmine rice, chicken and char sue pork with no vegetables. Usually they would replace the veggies with extra rice. Sadly, on my last order the chef accidentally included veggies but the worker who took the order noticed the mixup, apologised and immediately took it back to the kitchen and told them about the veggies.

Not too long after my takeaway container came back without most of the veggies but still had small pieces that were difficult to remove, residue of the veggie sauce all over the rice and a big empty space where the veggies once were...very spiteful if you ask me.

Since then, I only order Pork Pows or Roast Pork because they are still the best in...
