While strolling through the Marina of Houmt Souk, we discovered Haroun Restaurant, and it became one of the highlights of our trip. The restaurant is not only beautiful but also exudes a charming atmosphere that immediately caught our attention. For our meal, we shared a variety of dishes, and each one was memorable. The grilled fish stood out as a favorite—perfectly cooked to keep the inside juicy while achieving a delicious crispiness on the outside. It was truly one of the best we’ve had. We also ordered the Couscous Royal, which came in a generous portion, easily enough for sharing, and it was both flavorful and satisfying. For dessert, the tiramisu was a hit with everyone, a sweet and creamy way to end the meal. The service was polite and attentive, though it could be a touch warmer to match the inviting ambiance of the restaurant. Overall, Haroun Restaurant provided a wonderful dining experience for our family, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Djerba, especially seafood lovers.

I would give this restaurant an extra star if I could just for being open on Eid al-Adha, a Muslim holiday, where most businesses were closed. I did not know about that holiday when I plan this trip to the island (lesson learned is to check the Islamic lunar calendar for holidays before traveling to a Muslim country). Anyway, this is a great restaurant. The food and service is wonderful. It is right by the harbor where there is a ship next-door you can go on. The decor is great. Also, if you want to get the Djerba couscous, the restaurant will need advance notice so they can prepare it and it’s for two people only but it’s very much worth having.

What a beautiful restaurant. The staff are wonderful and attentive, and they speak many languages. The decor was so imaginative, I loved all of the pottery, baskets and other objects that are out on display. The food was presented very well, and tasted fresh and delicious. We visited on a weekday in the afternoon. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all so it was very quiet. Would definitely return.
