My experience at My Cocoon was highly disappointing, and to make matters worse, they still charged us for a steak that had to be sent back for being undercooked and then took over 15 minutes to be recooked. My brother ended up not finishing it due to the late arrival. We also ordered a chicken dish, steaks (which were a poor cut), and spaghetti Bolognese, and all of the food was disappointingly bland.
The service was terrible. We had to repeatedly ask the waiters, more than five times, for updates on our food, which indicated a significant lack of attentiveness.
To add to the negative experience, our drink orders were incorrect, the food across the board was bland and not great, and the WiFi was not working during our visit.
The fact that we were still charged for the poorly cooked and significantly delayed steak, coupled with the poor quality and blandness of the other dishes, is unacceptable and demonstrates a clear lack of regard for customer satisfaction.
Overall, based on this experience, I would strongly advise against dining at My Cocoon. The issues with food preparation, extremely slow and inattentive service, incorrect drink orders, non-functional WiFi, the blandness of the food, and the decision to charge for a problematic dish made for a truly unsatisfactory...
Read moreWe spent 3 months in Monastir and this was our to go place! Cocoon Resto Cafe has a big menu with a lot of very tasty and beautifully presented dishes. We can recommend the Chicken Filet with Spinach Sauce (Photo) or with Champignon Sauce. The food was always fresh. Prices are very good too and staff was very friendly and super helpful even though we do not speak any french. A lot of times we had extra requests (we do not like to eat french fries) and without hesitation we received vegetables or salad instead, which we appreciated a lot! We ate at Cocoon more than 6 times and were never disappointed. The dishes are sort of cosmopolitan with a Tunisian touch and you can either sit outside in the shade with a lovely view onto the mosque and Plaza of Arts or you can sit inside and choose between a climatized or non-climatized area. The restaurant has a lounge-style character and is very clean and welcoming. If you come to Monastir and feel hungry, weather for lunch, dinner or a snack, we can absolutely recommend...
Read moreMy family was there about a week ago, visiting from Sousse. The staff are very nice and friendly. And the restaurant is very clean. There is a lot of outside and inside seating, and it's a short walk from the castle. It was very popular and busy. We were given some bread and tapanades as per a lot of restaurants, then we ordered, after some recommendations from the waiter, Thon brick and calamari was ordered. Thon brick is filo pastry filled with tuna and an egg and deep fried. We had three fruit smoothies (alcohol not served here), and they were very nice. The prices were incredibly good. We spotted a sea food platter, which was fabulous. The couple had mussels, sea bass, jumbo prawns, etc. For next time, lol. No pics of that. I did snatch a pic of pizzas on a table that looked really good, too. I definitely recommend and will revisit on my next holiday to Tunisia. Taxi from sousse, waiting, and...
