Restaurant Dar Khadija — Restaurant in Maghreb

This restaurant is terrible. Firstly, upon entry the manager (big guy with glasses) was hostile and moody with us assuming this was because we are tourists because he was nice to other Tunisian people. He maintained this bad attitude the whole time we were there. The chairs are broken and uncomfortable, many flies landing on bread basket and food. Lastly, the food was despicable. The beef was so so chewy and hard, inedible as it couldn't be chewed well enough to be swallowed. It was specified that we did not want liver the man gave several pieces of liver on the mixed platter. The chicken was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. Everyone was given different amounts of food and different cuts of chicken. Every single item except the canned fizzy drinks were very very salty.

Ich wollte während des Ramadans im Restaurant Dar Kdija in Monastir mein Iftar machen. Doch was ich dort erlebt habe, war schockierend und völlig inakzeptabel. Als ich vor dem Eingang stand, sah ich einen Kellner, wie er einen Kunden – einen jungen, harmlosen Jungen mit seiner Schwester – ins Gesicht schlug. So etwas habe ich in meinem Leben noch nie gesehen.

Ich bin sofort weitergegangen, ein paar Meter vom Restaurant entfernt traf ich auf den Jungen und sprach kurz mit ihm. Plötzlich kam ein Mann (vermutlich eine verantwortliche Person des Restaurants, trug weiße Socken) dazu und mischte sich aggressiv ein. Er wollte mich provozieren und fragte mich, wer ich sei, mit einem respektlosen Ton. Als ich ihm ruhig erklärte, was ich gesehen hatte, antwortete er nur: „Wir brauchen dich nicht als Kunden.“

Ich werde dieses Restaurant nie wieder betreten. Menschen mit so einem Verhalten sind keine Gastgeber und verdienen keine...

On a pris 3 plats, tous non conformes au standard tunisien ou au standard tout court : Couscous au calamar farci avec clamar froid, couscous semble être un mélange avec le reste du client précédent, partie chaude l’autre froide, pomme de terre semble entamée, de plus ultra sec et vraiment très piquant, à éviter. Shan Tounsi avec ouf dur et sans pomme de terre, donc ingrédients pas standards. Pâtes à l’escalope avec sauce trop huileuse on dirait une soupe au fond de l’assiette.
