Restaurant Le Surfin — Restaurant in Sousse

Extremely bad experience! I came with my wife at lunch time, it was our first time at this restaurant. We enter, we sit and we ask for a menu, nobody explains the concept and it turns out they have a fixed course meal, they thought I was asking for two courses, after a while they brought two soups and I asked for the menu again because I was a bit in a hurry.

This is where they explained that it's a fixed menu. Being the only one hungry and my wife wasn't going to eat, I told them in this case to bring one menu, they said they can't "We're going to close and they have to pay the staff" (the waiters exact words).. I didn't understand, and after talking a little bit with the waiter, I decided to leave and they of course billed two soups, even though only one was eaten by me...

Very bad experience, very bad service I really...

First, it is a good restaurant and good food but at the end and payment time, the prices changed and the waiter called Roshdi announced that we had ordered extra dishes that we had not asked for. The waiter continued to lie and said our friend asked for the these dishes. In the end, the total of the order went from 120 TND to 185 TND. I don't recommend this restaurant and if you go you have to be careful and ask if the requested food is included in the selected menu or not. The waiter called Roshdi was present at our table all the time, starring at us eating, trying to get in the discussion after each bite, and he talks to much, had interrupted us to free up the empty dishes...

This restaurant offers a fixed-price fish menu at 60DT per person, excluding drinks, which seems fair enough. However, my experience was deeply disappointing. The restroom was shockingly filthy—comparable to the worst truck stop facilities—and to make matters worse, I found a fishbone inside my ice cream. When I brought this to the attention of the waitstaff, they merely removed the dessert without offering an apology or even attempting to explain how such a mistake could happen. Their lack of concern for customers was appalling. If you decide to dine here, be prepared for unexpected and unpleasant surprises. You might get lucky and avoid them—but don’t...
