I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant/coffee shop, frequently visiting with my family and always enjoying the atmosphere. However, my recent experience outside the establishment was deeply disappointing and has completely changed my perception.
While driving, I received an urgent phone call and pulled over to the side of the road to answer it. By chance, I stopped near this restaurant. Shortly after, I noticed a man speaking to the security guard, who then approached me in an aggressive and unprofessional manner, demanding that I move. He claimed that the parking space was "reserved" for the owner's friend. I politely explained that I was handling an emergency call and that I was parked on a public road, where no one has the right to reserve a spot. Instead of acknowledging this, the guard continued pressuring me in a rude and forceful manner, creating an unnecessary confrontation.
Disturbed by this unacceptable behavior, I went inside the restaurant to speak to a manager. As I waited, the owner approached me and asked me to step outside, stating that he did not want his guests to witness the situation. While I understand his concern for his customers' experience, it was clear that his priority was protecting his image rather than addressing the inappropriate actions of his security staff. He did apologize to me, which I appreciate, but an apology does not excuse the way I was treated.
This experience was not just frustrating—it was disrespectful and completely unacceptable. No one should feel harassed or pressured by security for simply stopping momentarily on a public road. The behavior of the guard was unprofessional, and the owner's response, though polite, felt more like damage control than genuine accountability.
Given my history as a regular customer, I expected far better treatment. A business is not defined only by its food and ambiance but also by the way it respects and values all individuals—customers and the general public alike. I strongly urge the management to take serious action in training their staff, especially security, to behave professionally and respectfully. Until I see a clear commitment to better service and proper conduct, I will not be returning, nor can I recommend this...
Read moreVery good restaurant. The only restaurant I would eat in Sousse. I spent 24 7 looking for restaurants and finally found this one. Went here twice and ordered spaghetti, burger and tacos. Atmosphere is perfect and not many people are smoking. The only coffee in Tunis that I enjoy. Price is very fair given the food and atmosphere. Friendly staff and many rich locals eat here. Would recommend anyone staying in Sousse. When I return to Sousse in a few decades later I will come back and only eat here when I find...
Read moreI want to start foremost by saying how good the food was. We've been staying at the Marriott and wanted a change of scenery. We had two cheese burgers and a couple of mojitos, (I also had a chicken sandwich on the side also) all the food was absolutely fantastic, soo flavoursome and came out really quickly. The cocktails were top tier and servers were very attentive and polite. We can't believe how the bill came to so little given the quality of food. If you find yourself in the area do not hesitate...
