Damascino Lac 2 — Restaurant in Tunis

I highly recommend this restaurant! I've had it delivered with glovo. I ordered Formula 2 which is whole grilled chicken with sides: Syrian rice with vermicelli, iceberg lettuce salad, tabbouleh, harissa, garlic sauce, hummus, mutabbal, baba ghanoush and freshly baked extra-soft bread. It comes nicely packaged as visible in the picture. All the sauces and salads are prevented from spilling.

I must highlight that it's great value for money. Formula 2 cost 39 dinar. The dimensions of the box in the picture are about 30 × 40 cm. It is advertised on glovo as a portion for two people and it would easily feed two adult men.

Most importantly it's really delicious. The chicken and the rice were still hot when they arrived (and keep in mind the delivery man needed to drive over 5km to get to us). Everything is flavourful, fresh and...

Except for the food that was excellent everything else was really bad and a challenge to understand and accept considering the average price per person was 30-40 TND. Granted they were extra busy (Saturday night) Service was so painfully slow and it was like 20 minutes between items, really really slow. We ordered three family size dishes and they did not bring us any serving dishes, we had to ask multiple times. Water was served in plastic cups, and the room was hot like an oven. We only noticed two servers around, both floors (they worked them hard).

The food was tasty, but I will not recommend it, you can take your money elsewhere.

Visited this restaurant today at 11:40. The place was empty, yet my mandi grilled chicken took 30 minutes to arrive. Worse, after just three bites, I found a piece of hair in the food. I was so disgusted I nearly threw up, and my eyes started tearing. My friend had to call the waiter to remove the dish because I couldn't even look at it. When we finally told the waiter about the piece of hair, he asked, where is it ? As if I'd keep it as evidence. After a long delay, we asked for the bill just to leave for work- only to find they charged us full price for the contaminated meal. No apology, no acknowledgment, just indifference. Terrible hygiene and shockingly bad customer service. Never returning, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else...
