FOOD Excellent food, authentic dishes that will come at somewhat a more expensive price than your local restaurants. This is Tunisian upscale, serves alcohol. Portions are pretty big, some starters can be main meals I would say. I had an Ojja Seafood, typical Tunisian meal which was huge. For main I had the Émincé à la Berbère which was a real treat, it came sizzling hot full of spices a bit like a chicken fajita. ATMOSPHERE Very romantic atmosphere with space inside as well as outside. It felt like fine dining. We were a big group and were well accommodated as the restaurant is huge. STAFF/SERVICE The only minus of this place; I would say food takes time to arrive and staff are fairly unfriendly even though they do serve. This tends to be a way of life in Tunisia I think. A few extra smiles would be great. They have working WiFi also.

Excellent restaurant. The service was perfect, the food is amazing and especially the lamb. Also a great wine collection. We lived nearby during our stay in Tunis. But locals come here from all over Tunis. It's located right next to Punique hotel. The restaurant is large and also has an open terrace in the summer. I really recommend a visit, it's a local restaurant with great food and ambiance. All around the restaurant you'll se art. Some from local artist. Don't miss this place if you want an authentic experience. It's a little more upscale. Dinner for 5 with several bottles of wine, beer, drinks, starters and desert was almost 300dinars...it's heaven!

Still One of the best restaurant food I've had in Tunisia in a few years. Their highlights are still: - The slow roasted lamb shank, perfectly moist and melting in your mouth. - The penne with shrimps in tomato/cream sauce are delightfully comforting and perfectly al dente. - The octopus cumin stew (“Kammounia au poulpe”) is a must try; just spicy enough and the octopus fresh and never chewy. All dishes are very generously served (doggie bags are commonly offered). But, brace up for a long wait and a very smoky ambiance if inside. Still, one of my favorite eateries in the Tunis area.
