THE BONES STEAK HOUSE — Restaurant in Alanya

This was our 1st time here at The Bones Steak House and it won't be our last! We chose to have a quiet meal for 2 this evening, sitting on the terrace at the front of the restaurant to enjoy the bustle of people passing by. The service was second to none, attentive but not overly so. Discreet and respectful. We ordered a beautiful white wine from the list before moving onto our menu choices. The food was delicious! Calamari and garlic mushrooms to start, well presented and plentiful. The portion sizes were just right. Accompanied by traditional bread and dips, it was the perfect start to our meal. Then onto mains, we had Bones speciality steak cooked to perfection with creamy pepper sauce. Also the Alanya Kebap which was served in a sizzling hot plate with tender selection of beef, chicken and prawns. We declined dessert, opting for liquor coffees instead. Again these were good! The restaurant also has tvs in the bar area to watch sport, so we made the most of 2 for 1 cocktails whilst watching football after dinner. The place looks ok, so 1 star for atmosphere and decor. We were seated, but right beside the menu station, so a little distracting with waiters coming to our table throughout our visit, but not coming to our table. One star goes for the waiter as he did an okay job. Ordered garlic shrimp to start. Wow, way over cooked, so much salt it burnt my tongue and the shrimp were so small and few. Sent it back unfinished. Mains included New York steak with a side of sauteed mushrooms and chicken shish, add a bottle of wine. Presentation was good. There were maybe 4 mushrooms in the bowl ($15US), steak was not New York and almost cooked proper, veg was cool and potato puree was stone cold. When the bill came, the shrimp were still there 😠. After I asked "really, you're going to charge me for that?" they did remove it from the bill. Considering the price, this was a bad experience.
