Shakespeare Coffee & Bistro (Alanya) — Restaurant in Alanya

I had big expectations and was excited to visit the restaurant this week. I was really graving for a nice pasta and ordered pasta carbonara with chicken on the top. Unfortunately it had nothing to do with carbonara. I would rather call it pasta with “krema” and mushrooms. Taste was zero and not even any spices. Guys, if you call this carbonara than it need to be authentic somehow with egg and cheese. Waiter mentioned later that he would have not recommended this pasta to me and I would get something extra, if I come again. Sure will not go there again. Was seriously disappointed. Maybe my mistake and I should have ordered some typical Turkish food or something fried, but that kind of dishes I can eat everywhere and I don’t need to go to Shakespeare restaurant and pay European prices....

My review is based on food itself only. I went there a few times. I didn’t like food that much, as I received few times the food that was definitely microwaved and personally I do not like that at all. But I found this place lovely for me to come in the morning to have a coffee and detox green cocktail which is a good boost and start of the day. Caesar salad was very disappointing, not enough sauce, was very dry, even chicken was grilled nicely. On sunny day there is nice layout of tables outside where you can watch people passing by, enjoy the weather and dogs coming randomly from nowhere, these dogs are very friendly but fussy eaters 😄 The best dish I had over here is prawn and avocado bites. I just tried to talk to the hostess-waiter with blue shirt, in response he ignored me, instead of answering me, he started talking on the phone, when I asked to seat us at the table, he just smiled, we tried to ask to serve other waiter, and also no reaction from anybody, I'm shocked, boorish behavior, disgusting staff. The funny thing is that this happened on March 4 2021, as soon as restaurants were allowed to receive guests in Turkey, and immediately such a shame, I think the administration should try on some sanctions. Before that, we had already visited this cafe 2 times, and both times the food was not tasty and consisted of semi-finished products heated in the microwave, including pizza, which we did not...
