Hello everyone. Be careful at this restaurant. Came to them, ordered just a half of small sea Bass with one small plate of eggplant salad in tomato sauce. Just half a portion of these 2 plates. Because I'm busy, I ordered that order to go. Guess what I found then I opened my dinner - yes- half of the fried fish, and they gave me onion and garlic fried in oil salad instead of eggplant salad. They did not let me know about this change in order, and they were surprised about the price - it is 1250tl plus tip( you can't pay that). Total 1500turkish lira, which is almost $50 back. Can you imagine that. The city formally sits in between 2 seas( black and marmar) it means almost all fishes are local. I'm from Colorado. The closest sea or ocean is 3000 miles away which is more than 4500 km. And we have the twice cheaper price for this order. First thing about this restaurant - they counted all foreign like a damn,2) they lied to you (about your order) they lied to you and they robbed you. Please look at the menu with prices, make your counting the price. For me, for example, the original order based on their own menu the total price should be less than 650 turkey liras. But the check which they give me 2.5 times more should be. I'm here, in Istanbul for just 4 days, but I found one thing - everyone tried to rob you if you are not a local. Even taxi- the machine which is equipped to the car shows you 200 Turkish liras, they are trying to change your twice, 400-450 liras....
Read moreIf you are looking for a great seafood experience in Istanbul, this is not the place. The food was subpar at best. They claim freshness, but the shrimp and octopus tasted awful 😖. When we told the owner, he said uts because we asked for it grilled and now fried. Had grilled shrimp and octopus many times in my life, and it tastes amazing. We couldn't even finish this stuff. The fish was ok. Got a large whole seabass, 10 shrimps, 5 sardine like small fish he recommended, and octopus. Our bill was over 6 thousand turkish Lira. I really don't mind paying high prices for food but the food is gotta be good. This was very disappointing. The restaurant looks nice, it kinda turns into a bar at night, and it's always filled with smoke. Apparently, in Istanbul, people smoke in restaurants. Oh ya, and finally. If you are a tourists he gonna want to show you his stock of "fresh" seafood. There are no prices for this. Make sure you ask because they charge whatever they feel like otherwise. Disappointing experience for the first night in turkey, but hopefully, there is better food to come. My suggestion is to stay away...
Read moreBlandest, most expensive restaurant I've ever been to in my life. Grilled octopus was so tough, either not fresh or overcooked. Flavours were actually ok on this dish. Ordered stewed shrimp but grilled, unseasoned shrimps arrived with a pot of melted unsalted butter and almost whole cloves of garlic in it. Overcooked and tasted frozen in my opinion. Whole sea bass was cooked reasonably well but literally no seasoning what so ever. I asked for sauce, was told "no sauce" Wifi had no internet also. Avoid if you value your taste buds...
