I was excited to learn from my hotel (St. Regis Istanbul) concierge that this was a dinner show and promptly made a booking. We were informed that the show started at 9 PM, and we were advised to have dinner before then. However, when we arrived, we were given a seat with a limited view of the stage. My husband requested a better table, but the staff politely declined, stating the table was reserved for a group.
We were served our first course promptly, but by 9:30 PM, we still had not received our main course, and the show had not started. After several inquiries, the waiter brought us two plates of salmon, even though our order was for one salmon and one meat dish. They quickly replaced one plate with meat. Unfortunately, my salmon was undercooked, and I had to spit it out my first taste, as I prefer my food well done. Hence I had no dinner.
Additionally, the show did not begin until close to 9:45 PM. The stage was taken over by a group of women celebrating a bachelorette party, further obstructing our view and making it feel like a private event for them. While I understand their right to celebrate, management should have ensured their celebration did not impact other guests.
We also had to endure a significant amount of secondhand smoke, as approximately 70% of the guests were smoking. Coming from a smoke-free environment in the US, this was particularly uncomfortable for us.
Overall, the experience was disappointing. I give zero stars to the management and servers for ruining our one special evening out of the two we had in Istanbul. However, I give five stars to the receptionist on the ground floor, who was extremely courteous...
Read moreThis is the first bad review I’ve ever written on google. My experience was so bad that I felt like I had no other choice. The only reason I gave an extra star is because the male belly dancer was amazing.
Prepare to be scammed. The waiter will not give you a menu. They give you one option 1500 lira for a 3 course meal and “unlimited” alcohol. Seems like a good deal given the location and entertainment involved. I say “unlimited” alcohol because it’s only for wine and beer of the restaurants choice. If you choose, surprise “extra charge”. The appetizer was the only decent item. The main course that arrived over an hour later. We had to ask for the main course. Our table was severely neglected. The food was COLD and they gave us 4 small pieces of meat. The meat was over cooked and stiff. There was nothing else on the plate except for very cold mashed potatoes. It was such a joke! The dessert was the worst. They brought out small slices of cake that were FROZEN. It was frozen tiramisu! It’s the brand you buy from a store and are suppose to defrost prior to serving. Prepare for the bill, you are charged for a service fee that does not reflect the quality of service. We did enjoy the dancers and appreciate their efforts to entertain. I’m not the one to complain but this experience was so bad, I feel the need to warn travelers/foreigners to stay away from this place. It’s a trap! The hotel will recommend this place as “good”. I’ve...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant last night 4 of us. We ordered limitless menu which I couldn't see any difference from limited menu. There was no explanation on what is involved in the menu. We paid 12350 TL for 4 person which was not an issue. We went to dance and when we came back they took an almost full bottle of raki from our table which they just opened for us?? When we asked why they said it's after 12 pm. But when we look at table next to us, there was another bottle on their table. Overall some areas needs to improve but prices was not explained in the menu. Just another think I need to mention here, At the entrance they ask to take your jacket, it's 200 TL per item. Also Valet parking is 400 TL per car. It's not about price, it's about principal of customer service and you need to know in advance what you...
