HuQQa Kuruçeşme — Restaurant in Beşiktaş

The food and presentation were excellent, and our overall dining experience started off very well. As a group of 8 we were impressed with how we didn’t have to wait for a table.

However, we had a disappointing and unprofessional experience with a staff member named Tugba. Upon arrival, bags are taken at the entrance and returned at the end of the visit with a ticket system. When collecting our bags, we noticed one of our items was missing. We assumed it may have fallen out during storage, but when we raised this with Tugba, she responded in a confrontational and dismissive manner. She laughed at us, raised her voice, and even made rude gestures while speaking about us in another language. She told us to “come back tomorrow” despite us explaining that we were flying home the next day to which she said it is not her problem. We explained it was her who collected our bags when we came in and her who handed our bags back over to us at the end hence why we have come to her with this issue. Mid conversation she started to serve other customers to show us she has no interest in addressing our issue.

What made the situation worse was that even other staff acknowledged this behaviour, saying it was “impossible to win with Tugba” and that this is just how she is — which was shocking to hear. It gave the impression that this kind of behaviour is tolerated towards both customers and staff.

Thankfully, another member of staff (unfortunately I did not get his name) approached us, apologised sincerely on behalf of the restaurant, and resolved the issue. His professionalism was the only positive part of the situation.

As someone who has previously visited Huqqa branches in other countries and had wonderful experiences, this incident was extremely disappointing. It is surprising and concerning that someone so openly rude and unprofessional is representing the brand. I sincerely hope management addresses this, as the quality of food deserves far better...

I recently visited Huqqa in Istanbul, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the elegant ambiance and contemporary design. The setting offers a perfect blend of modern chic with a touch of Turkish tradition, creating a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere.

The service was top-notch, with the staff being incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made excellent recommendations and ensured that our dining experience was seamless from start to finish.

The food at Huqqa is absolutely divine. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We tried a variety of options, from their signature mezze platters to the main courses, and everything exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail in the preparation was evident, and the ingredients felt fresh and high quality.

The drinks menu is also impressive, with a wide selection of cocktails and mocktails, along with a great variety of teas and fresh juices. We particularly enjoyed the signature cocktails, which were both unique and delicious.

Overall, Huqqa Istanbul provides a perfect blend of exquisite food, fantastic service, and an unbeatable atmosphere. It’s the perfect place for a special occasion or a relaxing evening out. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Istanbul!

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Huqqa Restaurant, located beside the sea in Istanbul. While the restaurant had its fair share of positives, overall, it left much to be desired.

One of the main offerings at Huqqa is their breakfast menu. However, I found nothing particularly special about it. The breakfast options were quite standard and lacked the creativity and uniqueness that I had hoped for. The taste and presentation were average at best, failing to leave a lasting impression. Considering the high prices charged at Huqqa, the underwhelming breakfast offerings were a disappointment.

One aspect that significantly impacted my experience was the presence of the restaurant's garden. While the idea of dining surrounded by nature is appealing, the smell of the grass in the garden was off-putting. It detracted from the overall ambiance and made it challenging to fully enjoy the meal. It seemed that the maintenance of the garden was lacking, and this negatively impacted the dining experience.

On a positive note, the location of Huqqa Restaurant beside the sea is undoubtedly its standout feature. The scenic views and the opportunity to dine while enjoying the ocean breeze were pleasant.
