We decided to go here for yet another birthday celebration. Sadly despite having a reservation they made us wait in the bar area for 35 minutes after which we were taken to our table. This was only made possible by asking them several times. This is a big turnoff because it was almost 10 pm by the time we got to the table.

The waiter was very interesting. He just didn't seem to want to serve us. We asked for the menu and then ordered some starters, sushi and main course dishes. The vegetarian starter arrived fast but the sushi just didn't come. We waited 45 minutes for it. I wish the waiter could have told us this. That's what you would expect from professional service. So right before the sushi came we told the waiter that we didn't want to order the main course anymore because it was almost 11pm. This just made the waiter really upset and he started giving us a cold shoulder. So we ordered a few starters because it was late. I also ordered a cocktail which arrived shortly We asked for water four times! At the end we got some dessert which was fine. In general, the Sushi and the desserts tasted nice but the service was terrible. We didn't expect such an attitude from a high-caliber (!) Restaurant like this. We were extremely disappointed, and felt very unsatisfied. It felt like the waiters and the staff are more interested in serving foreigners who they think will leave them big tips. The service made us question our desire to visit this place ever again. The younger staff are nicer and kinder. It is extremely expensive and you don't get the same service quality you would get from places that are cheaper and have better scenery.

Also, charging a huge service fee per person is not professional at all.

Watching him skillfully use an ancient wine opener that prevented any cork mishaps was a true testament to his mastery of the craft.

However, I must mention a couple of minor drawbacks. We opted for the vegan tasting menu, and while most of the dishes were delicious, the stir-fried eggplant with teriyaki sauce was too salty for our liking. It would be great if the seasoning could be adjusted to provide a more balanced flavor profile.

Additionally, it's worth noting that during our visit, we noticed that smoking was allowed in the restaurant, and this affected the overall dining experience. We strongly recommend that the establishment considers dividing the seating area into smoking and non-smoking sections to cater to the preferences of all guests.
