My friend from Istanbul knows I love food, especially fish, and during my visit, she chose this restaurant. I wasn’t disappointed—quite the opposite. After being served crackers accompanied by a selection of local spreads based on cheese, fava beans, parsley, and pomegranate salad, perfectly fried calamari arrived. Fresh! Definitely not frozen. Paired with a Sauvignon recommended by the friendly waiter, Umut, I enjoyed both the food and the view. The sea bass suggested as the main course was over a kilo, so we opted for something smaller. Bluefish turned out to be the perfect choice. This is a fish that, if not fresh, simply doesn’t taste good—it gets dry and can easily be overcooked. But this one was perfect. In the Adriatic, you can find it, but it’s not a common menu item in restaurants, so it felt a bit exotic to me. There was no room for dessert, but the coffee was just right. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We visited Sur Balık Restaurant in Istanbul based on a recommendation from our hotel, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The location in Arnavutköy offers a breathtaking view of the Bosphorus, creating a perfect ambiance for a memorable dining experience. The seafood was exceptionally fresh and cooked to perfection. Every dish we tried, from the mezze to main courses, was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent suggestions that enhanced our meal. The combination of exquisite food, outstanding service (Thanks to Mr. Ali ) , and the stunning waterfront view made our evening at Sur Balık truly special. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Istanbul – it’s a must-visit for seafood lovers!

Sur Balik Restaurant is located one of the best area in Bosphorus with an amazing view. You have to make reservations to be able to seated at the tables with view ahead of time. I had been in this restaurant several times when I visited Istanbul. My last experience was not great. The food was ok but nothing great. Service was not as good as before. For the price I can definitely tell that the price do not match the quality. Too expensive for no reason. If they are charging for the view maybe. Time to find another location for my next visit to Istanbul.

Great ocean view in a great location and with good service. The food menu was overall overpriced because of the prime location, but the quality is good. Even not being a fan of seafood, I enjoyed the food. We tried several plates and sat outside in front of the sea. People smoke in this area, so I didn't enjoy eating and having someone smoking right next to me. If you are looking for dinner with a view, this is the place. If not, there are many great quality restaurants around with more decent prices

This is a high class restaurant, but be carefully , they are scammers. Dinner for 2 people, bill amount $400, We gave "tips" to the waiter in cash, but the waiter himself added $150 to the bill. he doesn't tell us. Then we ask manager, why was in bill service 10% 4000 lira(150$), manager called to waiter and He couldn't say anything, I asked him , If I told you to write tip 4000 lira, then why did I give it to you as cash? finally the manager realized he was lying and gave us our money back 4000lira

I did not like this restaurant at all. There are also rude and disrespectful waiters that do not suit its name and luxury. Constant employee (waiter) self-singing, indifference; this is not a restaurant with live music. They sang with detone voices; when I go to eat my last meal; This is the first time I've encountered such a disgrace. This place was chosen as a decent place, some of the waiters were disappointing. If you eat outside in some non-branded places (for places that accept every waitress application), it is possible to encounter the same kind of waiters. Some of the Waiter Employees Have No Customer Service. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Translated To Turkish: Hiç beğenmedim. Detone sesleri ile şarkı söylüyorlardı; son yemek yemek için gidişimde; böyle bir rezillikle ilk defa karşılaşıyorum. Burası nezih bir yer olarak seçilmişti, garsonların bazıları hayal kırıklığına uğrattı. Dışarıda marka olmayan bazı yerlerde (her garsonluk başvurusunu kabul eden yerler için) yemek yerseniz aynı tür garsonlar ile karşılaşmanız mümkün.
