Terrible Experience – Food Poisoning at Arya Istanbul (Afghan Restaurant in Beylikdüzü)

I visited Arya Istanbul with my family while on vacation from Canada. Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of the worst experiences of our entire trip.

We had dinner at this restaurant and shortly after, all members of my family became seriously ill with food poisoning. We had to spend three days in the hospital to recover, which completely ruined our holiday. The dishes we ate included Afghan Tikka Kebabs, Afghan Kharhi, and Afghan Palaw. The food was not only poorly prepared, but also clearly unhygienic.

When we called the restaurant to inform them, they were extremely rude, hung up the phone, and accused us of making false complaints. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior, especially when people’s health is at stake.

I strongly urge all tourists and visitors from abroad to avoid Arya Istanbul in Beylikdüzü at all costs. The food hygiene standards are shocking, the service is terrible, and the staff is disrespectful. There are many other clean and reputable Afghan restaurants in Istanbul—please go elsewhere to protect your health and enjoy your trip.

To top it all off, the dessert was a delightful ending to our meal. The balance of flavors and textures was just right.
