Efendi Fethiye — Restaurant in Fethiye

My husband and I visited this restaurant last weekend because the reviews were great, but it wasn't a good experience for us. It was not busy, and perhaps there were too many people working, but the waiters were hovering ALL the time over our table and constantly asking us if we needed anything. They would only address my husband (who is Turkish) whenever I asked a question, and he would repeat exactly what I said, and they never refilled my water glass, only my husband's. We ordered levrek and I did not want it filleted, we ordered the whole fish, but when they brought the fish to the table (lukewarm), they started deboning and filleting it. We had high expectations from this place based on the reviews, and it didn't work out. The general atmosphere is nice, but... The startets were very average (almost plain eggplant caviar, smoked mackerel that was somehow dry and the tzaziki that was a tad not fresh). And then it took incredibly long to bring the main dishes, more than an hour of wait. One of our friends was taking a calamari starter for the main course; the waiter asked if we wanted to switch regular calamari with the baby ones, which we thought was just him being nice, okay, and then for this small starter portion they suddenly charged us more than for a full seabass fish.
