Avoid this place if you are looking for good food. We came here based on all the good reviews but we were highly disappointed. I ordered a Malibu sunrise which didn’t have any alcohol in it and was watered down. For food I ordered a chicken sish which was below mediocre. The chicken was dry and tasteless and the rice had nothing to do with the traditional Turkish rice. My partner ordered a Greek salad which had nothing to do with a Greek salad: the cheese wasn’t feta and tasted old, it had carrots, parsley and green olives stuffed with pepper. Her chips weren’t crisp. The only good thing was the fresh out of the oven pita bread.
Glad I didn’t order the overpriced steak I was considering.
The person who served us seemed a bit off messing up quite a few things.
I really don’t understand from where all the good reviews are! Avoid this place unless unless you want to be...
Read moreWe decided to eat here based on the reviews, however, it has been the most disappointing meal so far in our 4 weeks of being here. We ordered Turkish meatballs and the mixed grill. We were served Turkish puffer bread which was very good, however, when the food arrived, the Turkish meatballs, emphasis on the plural. Consisted of a few chips, rice and a small meat patty under a fried egg. We explained we had ordered meatballs and were assured the egg on a kids size burger was indeed the Turkish meatballs. O how we laughed. The mixed grill consisted of a piece of chicken, 2 koftas, a very nice lamb chop and 2 large cocktail sticks with 4 oxo cube sized beef chunks on them. Ironically my husband gave me one of the kebabs but neither of us could eat them as they were just gristle. Would we eat here again. Not in my lifetime. Would I recommend, only to someone...
Read moreZayra was our go-to place in Fethiye. We were staying close to Calis beach and couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable place to eat at. We ate both our dinners and one breakfast here!
For breakfast, we had one ‘Turkish breakfast’ and a Menemen. Both were very tasty and very filling. The former also comes with a Turkish chai, or tea. For dinner, we had Turkish Pides and a mixed Mezze platter.
All meals at Zayra come with a HUGE naan (bread), garlic butter and grilled onions and tomatoes literally bubbling in a wooden plate! So yumm!
The service is friendly, all the waitresses are happy to chat with you and the ambience is comfortable. What more can...
