Sadly I've had to update my review following my second visit and reduce from 5 stars to 3.

My original review "If the heat doesn't make you sweat then the meat at this place will. They brought out the complimentary balloon bread with hummus, haydari, tomato salsa, cheese and butter which already half filled me. I ordered the mixed grill and a side portion of halloumi. The halloumi was a good portion, 6 pieces served with salad and a dip. Then came the mixed kebab, lamb chops, chicken wings, adana kebab, lamb and chicken shish and some small beef steaks, served on a bed of sliced wraps with peppers, salad and tomatoes. It cost 98 lira for the mixed grill which is about 10.20 at todays exchange rate. The meat was well cooked, melted in your mouth and was very filling. This place was recommended to me and I can now see why. Thanks for a great meal"

Follow up visit. Sometimes it is best not to go back to a place that you really enjoyed. My second visit took the whole family. I again ordered the mixed grill along with my brother. On this occasion it was a slightly smaller portion size, not as well presented, the bread instead of being sliced into individual pieces that soak up the flavour of the meat was just a pile of unsliced wrap underneath the meat which was dry and stuck together. Last time the steak was tender melted in you mouth and rasty, this time it was like an old rubber boot with no taste at all. Kofte was reduced from 2 to 1, the adana kebab was half the length and uncooked in the middle, i left this obvious for the waiter to see but he didn't acknowledge it. The chicken wings were tasteless and the skin was still soft and fatty, there was a piece of skin in chicken which was the same. The whole meal was very bland and tasteless. It was as if none of it had been cooked in a bbq grill and instead precooked or cooked on a hot plate. It was as if they didn't care what they were throwing out to their customers. I really do not know whether it is because on the Friday they thought I was Turkish and Monday I was with my brother and it was obvious we were English. The service wasnt amazing for me either night but I overlooked that due to the food. It is not cheap and you do not mind paying when the food is good.

I mentioned all of this as I was leaving, I'm not one to make complaints, but when he asked if I enjoyed the meal I thought I should feed it back. He said thank you for feeding it back but then followed up with we only normally receive compliments so im not sure if anything would have actually been taken in.

If this had been my 1st time I'd never go back.

I guess I sum this up with its a bit of a gamble, when they get everything right you will have a great meal, if they don't then you will be out of pocket and still hungry. This review was changed from 5 stars to 3...

OMG!!! The mixed donner I have just eaten was absolutely incredible, mouthwatering, we ordered extra large mixed Lamb & Chicken, the man outside let us try a sample first, I was sold, but the deal breaker was do they serve home made chips, the answer, yes! Extra large mixed Doner swapped rice for chips and ordered a seperate side of home made chips, check images, they kindly provided a lovely bread and dips complimentary, the salsa was one of the best I've tried anywhere, then after eating the mixed doner and chips, we were offered a small complimentary desert of sponge and icecream, honesty this place has been one of the highlights of my week, I've eaten at some more expensive places, but hands down the meal tonight was one of the best of the entire week here, absolutely hands down the best kebab and chips you'll have anywhere, amazing!!!

So pleased the gentleman stopped me and asked me to try, and he was honest about the chips, home made chips, no frozen rubbish, they were the best chips.

We returned for a lunch, we tried chicken wraps and lamb wraps homemade chips drinks, again offered complimentary desert, 400tl each if you order from the take away you'll get only the wrap at 300tl, but sitging in its like a meal wrap and chips at 400tl, it was definitely worth it, take a loon at the pictures I've posted to...

Top , TOP restaurant in Hisaronu. We sampled some of the meat on offer during a walk with the family in the morning and it was so nice I was thinking of Kebabs all day 😂 We went back that night (group of 8 - 4 kids) and it did not disappoint. 5 Star food and really good prices! ... The Chicken Donner Kebab.... OMG. Unreal. The staff were lovely, our waitress was brilliant... It was quite busy upstairs but they looked after us really well. Loads of extras. The breads and dips they brought us early on were lovely and the Turkish desert our waitress made us all try at the end was delicious, we all cut a tiny slice off at first to test the flavour , then after 1 little taste everyone demolished the whole thing! 😂 My kids can be fussy eaters sometimes but they loved every bite. Top food , top service, beautiful venue. One of the best Kebabs I've ever had in my life and I've had loads! 😂

McKebab.... Look out for the name on the Hisaronu high street and give it a go. We loved...
