The restaurant is decorated with authentic and vibrant interiors incorporated with a spacious ambiance, and accompanied by pleasant Italian melodies. It’s a very inviting space form outside.
The service was good in general. The prices are slightly high, but for a fancy restaurant like this, you shouldn’t be expecting anything less. You can go up to 1,000TL pp if you also order alcoholic drinks besides food.
As an appetizer from the house, a basket of bread loafs and parmesan breadsticks with olive oil and olive paste comes onto your table. The sourdough bread loaf was a masterpiece! It was admirable with its tangy notes and nutty finish taste. The parmesan breadsticks reveals a delightful crispness on the outside, and with a light and soft interior it gives a boost to your appetite.
We ordered Arancini Ripieni di Funghi as a hot starter. The crunchiness was good, rice was cooked well, but the tomato sauce could be better in savoriness.
Insalata Rucola di Manzo we had was exceptional! Medium cooked and very thin sliced steak in this was very tender and aromatic. The herbs were fresh, pomegranate seeds gave the ultimate fabulous taste to the salad.
Pizza Burrata did not meet my expectations at all. It was a Napolitano pizza yes, but the side was overwhelmingly doughy and thick. Burrata on top was at its best quality, however this giant delicacy overweighs the pizza and presses the dough so you can’t enjoy the general composure of the Napolitano. Pistachios on top gives a fragrant flavor which I liked.
The Cannoli we ordered was not traditional Italian one. It was delicious though, I can’t complain about the taste. However, it should be listed as “Cannoli the Turkish way” in the menu.
No alcohol-we paid 1,700TL for all. The restaurant includes a %10 service fee in the check.
Overall score 3.9/5 for an...
Read moreA little slice of Italy in Suadiye! 🇮🇹 @cottogastro Some places don’t just serve food—they create an experience. Cotto Gastro in Suadiye is one of them. From the moment we walked in, the elegant yet cosy atmosphere made us feel right at home. But the real hidden gem? Their stunning winter garden—a beautifully designed space where you can enjoy a meal in a warm and inviting setting, even on the chilliest evenings.
We kicked things off with a Caprese Salad, simple yet bursting with freshness. Then came the Parmigiana di Melanzane, which might just be my favourite version of this classic dish—rich, perfectly baked, and packed with flavour. The homemade pastas? Absolutely worth trying, with each bite delivering a taste of authentic Italian craftsmanship.
But the true highlight of the evening? The pizzas. Crispy, flavourful, and perfectly balanced, they stole the show. Whether you go for a classic Margherita or something more adventurous, you can’t go wrong.
If you’re in Suadiye and craving an authentic Italian feast, Cotto Gastro is the place to be. Great food, impeccable service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little...
Read moreThese kind of places I hate the most, they brought the check only stating as "food" and "beverage" separately with their respective prices(no details). I have noticed the beverage price for 76 lira which was odd since we only had a big bottle of water priced 40tl. We asked for the check again after payment, and noticed that they have added their service charge as water and it stating this anywhere so they can get more tip and avoid taxes or whatever shady thing they are planning. This is the level of these places with mediocre food and overpriced menus. Shame on you.
Ceaser salad was mediocre which was soggy due to excessive sauce usage, it was insufficient. Pizza had a very thick dough which was eating a cheese bread and the cheese was not fresh at all like it was stated in the menu. I really couldn't understand what type of pizza they were doing it but I would go to many other options nearby which does it better...
