Saltator — Restaurant in Kadıköy

This was the best experience in my life concerning the fish restaurants- the best possible choice you can get, no matter of it is about appetisers, main course or drinks, everything is fresh, best choice of local wines, absolutely lovely atmosphere, very friendly and customer orientated personal run by restaurant manager Ali- you are feel as you treated by your friend at home!!! Not to mention the breathtaking view on the sea…. I would recommend it definitely to everyone visiting this part of Istambul-this place is a must!!! And today, 02.06.2022 we tested a great wine, recommended by Gulu, the young owner of the restaurant, trained haute cuisine cook and sommelier!!! An absolutely great taste of exotic fruits, very light body and refreshing, a perfect companion to the sea foods!!! Highly recommended!!! And again- the best treatment from Ali and his team!!! This place will be very popular among all my friends when they are coming...

I found this restaurant through google and I had no idea how the food is and even the location. I contacted through WhatsApp with them because I am from Germany. I asked reservation for 10 people who are from France and will be first time in İstanbul. Hasan Bey was extremely helpful and friendly for organizing and informing me about the details. They prepared a very nice table for us. The service was perfect and all staff including Ersen bey were very very polite. Mezes, fish and desert are higher quality than any restaurant you can find around this region for that price. I even loved the white wine they served. The quality and service is much higher than the cost. All my guests and me were very happy. I would definitely suggest to go to Saltator to eat decent food and for kind service. I will definitely book a table for my next trip to İstanbul.

Dün anneler günü için annemi götürdüm. Bir arkadaşından duymuş merak etmiş ben de rezervasyon yaptım. Mekana girdiğimizde bizi masaya götürüp bıraktılar, kimse ilgilenmedi. 5-10 dakika boş masada bekledikten sonra annemle etrafa bakınmaya başladığımızda bir garsonun dikkatini çektik de ilgilendi. Profesyonel bir işletmeye yakışır bir hareket değil ki aşırı kalabalık da değildi.

Lezzetler güzel, aşırı olmasa da genel olarak tatmin edici. Özellikle iki tane ara sıcak başarılıydı.

Atmosfer basık, masalar çok sıkışık dip dibe. Yanındaki masanın konuştuklarını olduğu gibi duyuyorsun. Yan masalara gözümü dikip bakıyormuş gibi rahatsızlık vermemek için kafamı çevirip denize bakamadım bile. O açıdan cam kenarında oturmuyorsanız deniz manzaralı olmasının pek bir önemi yok.

Fiyatlandırma orantısız olmuş. Sözde anneler günü için özel yapılan krem peynir domates ve çilekten oluşan bir mezeye 390 TL yazarken levrek simide 200 küsür yazmaları saçma olmuş.

İki kişi totalde 4.600 TL hesap ödedim. Üç soğuk meze iki ara sıcak söyledik bir şişe şarap içtik. Geneli bilmem bana fazla geldi. Annemin hevesi kalmasın diye götürdüm, bir daha tercih edeceğim bir yer değil.

Garsonların güler yüzlülüğü saygıları güzel. Tabi yine de hizmeti başka işletmelerle karşılaştırdığımda bir tık geri olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Sürekli şarabı kontrol eden masayla ilgilenen biri yoktu, annem için çağırdığımda hızlıca ben de içtim benimkini de doldursunlar diye. Çok büyük bir işletme de değil. Belki biz iki kadınız diye biraz böyle oldu bilemiyorum.
