The reviews are misleading. This place is located in an extremely busy and touristic area. You find it. When we visited it was empty while the Fişkhana street was full of people and other restaurants were relatively busy. It was lunch time. We wondered why it’s empty but we quickly came to realize the reason. Firstly, none of the staff speaks English nor Arabic. While most of the restaurants there ensure at least one or two of their staff are able to speak to tourists. We were asked where we wanted to sit in signage language of course & we chose an outdoor area. The minute we were seated and the waiter started removing the extra plates from the table and pouring water we were hit by his body odor. We managed to hold breath while he was servicing the table. We didn’t want to judge the place by this individual incident so we ordered. While we are waiting for our order and appetizers, the cleaning lady suddenly remembered she may have missed cleaning this entire outdoor area. She started grooming the floor, then brought a dirty cloths and started cleaning all side pot lamps. She even squeezed herself behind our chairs where we were seated to reach to clean behind us. For context, this is a huge place that was literally empty. It was only the two of us but she was making sure the place around “the guests” who have came to eat needs cleaning. The salad and appetizers were served at that time so we were eating when she was working so hard to clean around our table specifically. Ideally, the restaurant should be clean before lunch time and if we surprised you all with our visit. It’s a huge place. She could start cleaning the rest of the restaurant and leave our part last till we have finished eating at least. Anyway we asked to change our table and we went the farthest away from that area to the opposite section indoor just so we make sure we allow her the area to clean. We chose a round table that could fit 6 but it was the location we found suit us to just eat in peace and leave. The waiter insisted it’s for 6 people and we tried to explain that the restaurant has over 80 tables that are all empty and we will just spend this 30 mins to eat and leave before it can gets crowded later, if it ever. Eventually he said fine and started to place the plates while mumbling. The minute we sat, there was a fly attacking us & we looked down and the floors were dirty. We didn’t like the overall attitude nor the experience so we decided we have had enough and we better leave. The food wasn’t served yet it was only the appetizers. We asked for the check, they insisted we wait. It was a weird interaction quite honestly because I had to beg to get the bill to pay and they were insisting I wait for the food. I finally agreed with them to put my food for takeaway so they get they can get us the bill to pay.
It is a beautiful place, in a beautiful street Fişkhana. This is my 4th visit to the place. All placed there are nice, neat, clean, high standard and food is delicious. It’s sad that this place has no one to look after. The manager there is busy on the phone, could be work, but in the mid of this commotion and especially us being the only guests with an obvious dissatisfied tone he didn’t notice us at all. Or maybe he can’t speak English or Arabic so he spared himself the entire headache. We just expected him to manage the team because there are standards in food & beverage. He could direct them on how to manage this entire situation professionally. We honestly asked for nothing, the minute we were inconvenienced, we asked for the check to pay and leave. We didn’t even attempt to cancel the order because we knew it must have been prepared. Yet we were given hard time and we understand it’s because of their good nature trying in their way to rectify the situation but it wasn’t professional at all.
For the place owners, you need a manager that can look at the staff hygiene, monitor the cleaning schedules, and someone in staff to speak English being the common language that most tourists can make basic communications with....

My unfortunate breakfast visit after a couple of days:
So pathetically bad 🤦🏻♀️. We waited for 33 minutes until they brought us the tea snd cold items, which was missing the turkish ‘kaymak’. Then we received their tasteless eggless menmen + uncooked scrambled eggs that had 2 big egg shell pieces in the bottom and made us super disappointed 🙂. Besides all, at the begening we were forced to sit in a cold side corner, because one waiter insisted that all other tables were reserved. Sıradan bir lokantada gibi pratik bir yemek yiyip kalkmak istiyorsanız ve fiyatı da umursamıyorsanız gidebilirsiniz, pişman etmez beklentilerinizi karşılar. Fakat ben ve eşim gibi şık bir mekanda, sakin ve güzel bir akşam yemeği beklentisiyle gideceksiniz büyük hayal kırıklığına uğrama ihtimalinizin yüksek olduğunu söylemeliyim. Şöyle ki:
Mekana gittiğimizde boş masalar olmasına rağmen nereye oturmak istediğimizi dahi sormadan garsonların servisleri topladıkları çok gürültülü bir bölümün yanında ve duvar dibinde olan, montunuzu sandalyeye koyduğunuzda yere değen bir masaya oturttular. Mekan çok gürültülü olup ortama kaos hakim, devamlı yanımıza bir masa çekiliyor sonra o masa kaldırılıyor ve tabakları masamıza toplamak zorunda kalıyoruz, yeni gelen müşterilerin oturtulması aşamasında görevliler garsonlar telaş içinde hareket ediyor.. Tüm bunların hepsi sakin kafayla geldiğim mekandan baş ağrılarıyla ayrılmama neden oluyor. Gecenin finalinde ise zaten hoşnut olmadığımız masada tatlılarımızı yemek üzereyken müşterilere yer gösteren kadın çalışan gelerek bizi farklı bir masaya almayı teklif ediyor. Biz de tabiki komple kalkıyoruz tatlıyı dahi istemiyoruz deyince tatlının parasını da alabilmek için tatlıyı paket yapıp vermek istiyolar. Garson arkadaş mahcup davrandığı için kabul ediyoruz ve içerisinde dondurma olan ve eve gelinceye kadar eriyen tatlımızı alıp mekandan ayrılıyoruz. Hiçbir gerçek yetkili durumu telafi etmek adına sizinle ilgilenmiyor tek odakları yeni ve özellikle de müşteriler. Bence basit bir yemeğe 2000 TL verilen bir restoranda özellikle de çiftlere bu şekilde muamele yapılması hiç hoş değil. Resmen paranızı alıp göndermek üzere bir işletme kurmuşlar memnuniyetinizin zerre önemi yok onların gözünde.
Mekana dair memnuniyetsizliğim o kadar çokki asıl konu olan yemeğe değinemedim bile.. Ben kebap söylemiştim 615 TL için kötüydü resmen mekanın şıklığına para verdik. Eşim kuzu pirzola söylemişti çok çok tuzluydu ısırdığınızda tansiyonunuz fırlıyor resmen. Yanındaki patates püresi soğuk ve tatsızdı. En son zaten bir yıl kadar önce gitmiş pişman olmuştuk bu mekana şimdi sağolsunlar bir daha hiç gitmemek üzere pişman ettiler. O paralara daha iyi yemeği İstanbul’da her yerde bulabilirsiniz ama önemli olan paranın ağırlığına yakışır şekilde müşteriye muamelede bulunmak ve insanları sakin bir şekilde ağırlamak. Gerçekten dünyanın en güzel yemeği de olsa o kaos içinde başınızın ağrımama ihtimali yok. İftarda bile böyle kaos olmuyor bu tarz pahalı yemek...
