Trendy Vibes with Room for Improvement at Fişekhane We went over the weekend so definitely were expecting the crowds Fişekhane's trendy hotspot, The Hunger, promises a swanky dining experience with a modern and cool atmosphere. While some aspects delivered, like the delicious burgers and friendly service, others fell short, leaving our overall impression hovering around "just Good."
Location, Location, Location: The Hunger boasts a convenient location within the popular Fişekhane area, making it easily accessible for all. Whether you're a local or a visitor, finding this restaurant is a breeze.
Modern Ambiance with a Quirky Twist: Stepping inside The Hunger is like entering a stylish and modern space. The comfortable seating and clean design create a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a trendy Fişekhane experience. However, a slightly unusual design choice in the women's restroom (two tiny, separate stalls) might raise an eyebrow for some.
Burger Bliss, But Room for Improvement: The star of the show, the burgers, were undeniably delicious. They were juicy and flavorful, satisfying our hunger pangs and living up to The Hunger's reputation for good food. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the combo fries, which arrived stone-cold. Normally they're also known for their usual creative non alcoholic mocktails but I did not order at that time.
Price Point Considerations: Perhaps the biggest hurdle for The Hunger was the hefty price tag. At around 650TL for our meal, the cost felt significantly higher compared to similar experiences elsewhere. While Fişekhane is known for its slightly elevated prices, the value proposition at The Hunger didn't quite justify the expense, especially considering the cold fries and waiting time.
Friendly Staff, But Overwhelmed by Crowds: The staff at The Hunger were undeniably friendly and attentive. Our waiter, in particular, was a highlight – genuinely respectful and helpful. However, the large and bustling crowd seemed to overwhelm them at times, impacting service efficiency.
Summary:
The Hunger offers a trendy Fişekhane experience with a convenient location, modern ambiance, and delicious burgers. Friendly staff add to the positive aspects. However, the high price point doesn't quite match the average execution on some dishes (like the cold fries), and slightly odd restroom layout. If you're looking for a trendy Fişekhane experience with a budget to match and prioritize delicious burgers, The Hunger might be an option. However, if value and a wider variety of menu options are your priorities, you might want to explore other restaurants...

On the other hand, we also took the 6 mini burgers sharing box.. it was really good.. the burgers, onion rings, and the fries.. im not a fan of mac and cheese and chicken nuggets so im not judging.. but i can say that they liked them..a 9/10
I also love they put allergies information, since its a big concern for me and many others.. The service is also great! The prices are average for food but the drinks are expensive.. the only thing that bothered me.. i found an online reservation information.. so i did.. since there’s always a waiting list.. however it doesn’t exist.. you have to go by yourself put your name on the list.. and wait in front of the...
Read moreWe visited The Hunger at Fişekhane, and unfortunately the experience was far from satisfying. The menu is enormous, offering a huge variety, but sadly the taste simply isn’t there.
We ordered the children’s Alfredo fettuccine—it had no flavour at all and certainly no authentic Alfredo sauce. The loaded chicken nachos were another disappointment: no spice, no taste, and the nachos weren’t even crisp. The chicken roll was equally bland—I had to drench it in salt, pepper, and hot sauce just to get some flavour.
The only dish that was above average was the steak, but even that was overcooked despite my request for medium.
Overall, the food taste is well below average, especially for the price. The location is great and the interior design is attractive, but when it comes to flavour and service, it...
