Abyssinia is the best and only remaining Ethiopian restaurant in Gulu. It has ample seating both indoor and outdoor and the food is usually a 15-30 minute wait. If you are one or two people, get the half-special. It will cost you UGX12,000 and be enough to feed most folks. My younger self bicycling 40 miles a day would finish a full special myself. If you are a voracious eater, consider the challenge.
Tibs, goro, and even the spaghetti are particularly good. The sauce comes with or without meat, giving vegetarians that rare flexibility.
Get here, grab a beer, and enjoy an end of day dinner...

Egg sandwich is also very nice. Abyssinia special for me is best option they also do accommodation non self...
