Abyssinia Restaurant — Restaurant in Gulu

Abyssinia is the best and only remaining Ethiopian restaurant in Gulu. It has ample seating both indoor and outdoor and the food is usually a 15-30 minute wait. If you are one or two people, get the half-special. It will cost you UGX12,000 and be enough to feed most folks. My younger self bicycling 40 miles a day would finish a full special myself. If you are a voracious eater, consider the challenge.

Tibs, goro, and even the spaghetti are particularly good. The sauce comes with or without meat, giving vegetarians that rare flexibility.

Best Ethiopian food I've tried out of Ethiopia although I suspect that the injera might not be made from teff flour maybe something else or a mix of teff and something else but it's still tasty coffee is good although they are missing tenadam plant to go with can't be hard to grow it in gulu similar environment to where it's grown in Ethiopia this was really the only downside for me.
